Seeking feedback :boost: Is this a good way to notate levels of confidence for a series of #math articles? #writing #writingAdvice

A screenshot of test in dark mode. It has 3 highlighted blocks, each with a title and a different color/icon. The text says:

Conjecture 1.0.0

I will note conjectures like this. Each will come with an ID consisting of three parts: a series index, a definition index, and a count. As an example, if I were to make a conjecture about definition 2 in this post, I would write it as “Conjecture 1.2.1”, indicating it is in the first post, the second definition, and the first conjecture of that definition.

Theorem 1.0.0

Theorems will be identified like so, and given IDs similar to conjectures. I will always use theorem, even if lemma may be more appropriate, for the sake of consistency.

Hint

Possible leads to investigate will be marked as hints.

It's so weird that #PumpernickelKitty isn't this young anymore

This is Rye as a kitten (roughly 5 months ago). She is a mostly black cat, but with a splash of orange covering most of the right side of her face. She is yawning very wide.

IT Dance - Gator Days

Panel 1

August is at the office and looking at a computer that's being difficult. It can't seem to connect to the network. The screen says "ERROR No connection So alone". Poor computer. August tried the usual fixes but the problem isn't obvious. He's begun searching for answers on his phone with a search engine called "Searchle".

August: This might take a while to fix.

Robin: Okay, let me know when it's-

Panel 2

Robin has noticed that August is searching online for solutions. Why did he even bring IT into this when he could have done that himself?

Robin: Wait, you're just looking up how to fix it on your phone! I could have done that.

August: You still can do that.

Panel 3

Robin looks to the side and contemplates the situation. August wouldn't mind being able to skip this task but is also aware not everyone knows the right thing to search for and he will probably still have to do it in the end.

Panel 4

Robin has decided to stop questioning things and take this as an opportunity to get some coffee. This moment is a gift. August is unbothered, he would probably do the same thing.

Robin: I'm going to get some coffee. You want anything?

August: No thanks.

Just for a little preview, these are the sort of panels I am making and planning to detail in my blog. This one is featured in my current draft of the second post: data from an automated litterbox If you ask, I will provide cat pictures

This image shows a dashboard of stats for a litter robot. On the top left is a text box that gives the power source, online status, sleep state, overall status, litter level, and an indication for if the waste bin is nearly full.

Below that on the far left is a log of events as produced by the robot. This includes things like "cat detected" and weight measurements.

In the middle is a set of three circular charts. The top two are both gagues that look like a spedometer, one showing the litter level in the chamber, and another showing the level in the waste bin. Below that is a pie chart that shows the number of times each pet used the robot.

There are three time series charts on the right. The top one shows weight over time for each pet. The one below shows cumulative usage. Below that shows the number of uses in each day.

Seeking advice, how do I fix this regex to match the first two lines, but not the last two? :boost:

$A view of the site regexr. The expression in question is /(?<![\[/])@([\p{L}\p{M}\w.-]+(?:@[a-zA-Z0-9.-]+)?)(?![\]\)\/])/gu It should match the first two lines: @test @test@test It should not match the second two lines: [@test](https://[::1]/@test) [@test@test](https://[::1]/@test@test) It has matches on the fourth line$

Time for a new avatar! This one is by @bonesdelicious.bsky.social@bsky.social, in a style similar to my previous one. Images are attached for comparison! My previous avatar was a cropped panel from a @Brooke2valley@tumblr.com comic, so this is a very welcome change.

A panel cropped from a Brooke Valley comic. Brooke (a white trans woman with shaggy brown hair, a pink assymetric top with a white bra showing, and a heart shaped barratte in her hair) is nodding at someone off screen

A drawing of me on a pastel-colored background. I am a white trans woman with brown wavy/curly hair, hexagonal glasses, wearing a blue and orange wrap dress. The orange parts are concentrated in circular patterns, and the blue has a bit of a wavy texture to it

A photo of me in a bathroom mirror. I am a white trans woman with brown wavy/curly hair, hexagonal glasses, wearing a blue and orange wrap dress. The orange parts are concentrated in circular patterns, and the blue has a wavy pattern, with circles of darker blue and flecks of orange

Well, at least I am doing well on my reading goals!

A screenshot of the Story Graph app. It shows two reading goals, one for number of books and one for number of pages. Each is a power of 2: 128 and 32768 respectively. It reports that I am at 20% of the book goal (25 books) and am 1 book behind. It also reports that I am at 22% of the pages goal (7255 pages) and am 612 pages ahead

@hazelnoot@enby.life I am actually mildly proud of this parsing code. It's not perfect. It probably has some edge cases that don't work quite right, but it's more than fit for purpose

A tumblr screenshot from January 28th, 2025. There are two consecutive posts from user 77777777awawawawawawawawa

Two worlds, same author. _Wildly_ different combinations of ethics and magic. The top one is based on oaths. The bottom is genetic + some trauma to activate it. Needless to say, genetic powers lead to fucked up incentives. #CosmereMemes #MistbornMemes […] [Original post on transfem.social]

This meme references a scene in Invincible. In the top panel Mark (labelled as "Radiants") says "How do you handle the ethical implications of your powers?" In the bottom panel, Nolan (labelled as "Mistborn") says "That's the neat part, we don't."

A classic "that's the girl" meme. It features a simply drawn, blushing girl labelled "me". A hand is pointing at it, and a speech bubble indicates the owner of the hand says "That's the girl who thinks Through Wolf's Eyes is a trans allegory"

The picture depicts a total solar eclipse. Most of the sky is completely dark. The sun is a dark void surrounded by a white flame that seems to glow without illuminating anything. In the bottom right, the sun is just barely peaking through, appearing as a bright flare.

In the background you can see various stars. They each have a visibly different color, but they are faint enough that you might miss them if you weren't looking. Each star appears with a slight double image, because I was shaking the camera a bit too much

These are our cats, #OpheTheLoaf and #MayalaranTheCat. Ophelia was originally my partner's, we live together full time now, and are an integrated family Fun facts about Ophelia: * She is missing a tooth, so her lip sometimes gets stuck open in a cute way * […] [Original post on transfem.social]

Two cats are by a sliding glass window. The one towards the top of the frame (named Ophelia) is laying on a heat pad and staring at the second cat. The second cat (named Maya) is towards the bottom of the frame. She is sat on the entry rug with her body poked between the blinds on the window, so that she can look outside.

A gray/gray-orange cat is laying on a white blanket. Her name is Ophelia, and she has one eye half open, which is a brilliant green-orange. She is very relaxed. You get the faint impression of a person's legs underneath the blanket

A gray cat, Maya, is laying on the couch. She is curled up such that her belly and paws are all exposed, though her tail is tucked near her feet. She looks peacefully asleep

There are two cats in frame, near a very small cat tower. On top of the tower, Ophelia is laying down. Below, in a meercat-like pose, is Maya. She is trying to get a better view of the other cat. They didn't know each other very well at this time.
