I can't say 3 corporations owning all of the real estate would be desirable (I'm thinking a telecom / grocery chain situation, which would be dire) But I also prefer corp landlords by FAR and avoid solo landlords like the plague At least corp landlords are somewhat predictable and know their laws

This! For my interests I basically only have two events in the entire year: Anime North in May and FAN EXPO in August A city the city of Toronto could easily host much more of these big geeky weekends

Unironically a city with the magnitude of Toronto should have a FAN EXPO type of event virtually every month, there's waaaaay too much demand to condense all of it over a single weekend (or two if you include the Toronto Comic-Con earlier in the year).
