Honestly BRT is the way to go. And what we need is a project that succeeds and is fully built to start off. Once we actually show that BRT is feasible, easy, and gets people from point a to point b, we can win over people to use it.

I hear you. We can make things happen that isn’t going to cost us billions of dollars. Bus frequency and bus lanes should be the first step in improving infrastructure verses building a whole new rail line.

A system of express buses that get people from point A to point B would be better than we have now. Buses are not sexy like rail, but if they work, why not? I would rather have this sooner than waiting for an expensive subway line.

I agree with you. We have to make incremental improvements when and where we can. We also have to make other forms of transportation catch up to the automobile. More reliable transportation options will help San Diego move in a better direction.

I like the idea of the purple line, but mega projects like this one have repeatedly clouded the waters of our infrastructure needs. The money could be spent elsewhere, like making buses more frequent, expanding our bike infrastructure, and improving walking paths between places.
