Unfortunately it seems I've lost access to my main Instagram account, it's been weeks I'm trying to reach the Instagram support via mail from my associated email, to no avail. I do not have my 2fa codes anymore. If anyone experienced this before I'd be very grateful for any insight 😭

It's Sunday and I have 2 questions: Why the heck does the muse come at 1am? Painted till 3:40am, moved forward an old comm, but am wrecked now 🤣 And, how come the belongings I've packed in boxes to store during the home renovation, DON'T FIT in same spaces an drawers now once unpacked? 📦📦📦

Ngl, the reason I wanted to finally read Ruslan and Ludmila by Alexander Pushkin was because I wanted to know what the heck was going on in these Gennady Novozhilov illustrations. It did not disappoint.
A poster illustration much like a book cover to the poem Ruslan and Ludmila by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. It’s a warm-paletted drawing of two figures. The figure in the front is a young woman with light skin and striking dark eyes and long reddish-blonde hair. She wears a jeweled headband and holds an irregular incurve chrysanthemum. The man in the background is a knight with white-blonde hair, a handlebar mustache, and pale blue eyes. He is dressed all in red and brandishes a sword. An eagle, appearing like a golden coat of arms, appears on his shoulder. The pale-blonde shoulder rides a reddish horse over a field of spears and corpses beneath a soft orange evening sky while a falcon flies overhead. The bones and skulls lie amongst discarded armor and weapons, and elegant wild vegetation blooms all around them, overtaking them. A knight dressed all in red atop a ruddy brown approaches a giant severed head appearing to grow out of the ground, its mustache and hair tangling into roots affixing it into the ground. The giant head appears to be wearing a giant horned helm. Two images of the same young woman, evidently in some sequence. She is golden-blonde. In one image she is seated on a carpet amid a generous spread of delicious-looking fruits and wines nestled among serene wildflowers. Above her is a golden ornament. In another image she is looking at herself in a mirror, wearing a tall dark hat, apparently pilfered from a small goblin-looking man who appears stunned to see her wearing it.

learning swedish, there's this word for "love" = kärlek funny enough, swedish does sound quite demonic, and their word for "love" reminds me of BG3 character's name Karlach

Not sure how Bsky's timeline works, but I'm very tempted to ban all the accounts that follow me, AND follow more than 1k users on here. I want ppl to actually see my posts, and not slide down in a stream of reposts from 30k accts they follow. What do you think? Do you curate your following?

I’ve been hard at working making more dolls of your d&d characters as if Strix made them, here’s two more! One belongs to @crystalfier.bsky.social. They get dusted with *actual* grave dirt before they’re sent out! (It’s fake dirt makeup, but it’s called that teehee)

How much did it take you to go from the thought "I wanna make a living with art" to actually doing it? From first impulse to your first job or a steady stream of clients, even if they were small gigs?

D&D art directors periodically commission batches of “spot” illustrations, their purpose being to fill holes in books. This lovely spot illo, commissioned by Kate Irwin and created by @olgadrebas.bsky.social in 2021, found a home in the 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide. #dnd

One's carreer sometimes does loops and we acquire new skills that set the tone for the next few years, setting aside the specialization that we focused on before. What are such skills for you? The ones you've practiced time ago, but you would love to put in the game again?

An indie project approaches an emerging artist. What can go south and how to spot the red flags? 1) Low / nonexistent budget - not a problem if it's a passion/study project, AND everyone are on the same page about it. If they are not, you probably won't know. Watch for the turnover.

🤔 Q for artists: there is a product you've done artwork for. It gets published, and you see your artwork has been altered by the publisher — in-house, — compared to the originals you've submitted. How would you feel in this situation? #freelancelife #freelance #artistlife #artistontwitter

Concept art for the movie "The Mask" was done in 1910 by Egon Schiele. This is what you call "to beat a deadline"! In the New Year of 2024 I wish everyone to nail dem deadlines no matter what!

One of big takeaways of working in board games, a total mind blower, was this: you can spend MUCH less than, let's say, 15h on a character artwork and still have it sell well and be "successfull". It's all in expression, efficiency and style, not render.
