I’m deeply honored to have this Senryu selected for publication in ‘turtle dreams: The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku 2025’. Thanks so much to Jim Kacian and the Red Moon Editorial staff, and to Kelly Sauvage Moyer for originally publishing it in the final issue of Failed Haiku.

A text based image of the poet’s published poem. The top left hand corner of the image has the header Anthology 2025. The poet’s name Jenn Ryan -Jauregui and country United States display above the poem, with a moon image rising above the name.

The poem reads:

resting upon
my husband’s shoulders
our ghost children
