This beautiful, fragile pheasant chick died a cruel death on a pheasant factory farm. She is one of many who have lost their lives because they were seen as units, products, not as live animals who can suffer. All this suffering so people can get their kicks from shooting pheasants out of the air.

What is special about the number 73? It’s the number of days that the future 6th Doctor was on this planet before the future 7th arrived. Happy birthday, Sylvester And Sophie Aldred 6940 days later! 🍾🍰

Usually before you have received the item

I know but it completely unhelpful if you’ve ordered more than one thing recently

Buying online has become impenetrable. You order from a company called ABC Ltd & later on get a notification from a company called DEF Ltd that your item is on the way You’ve had no previous relationship with DEF Ltd. So you don’t know which of several items you’ve ordered, they’re talking about.!

Never heard of a successful candidate being frightened of possible nay-sayers before.

We were very sorry to read of the death of Bill Oddie, who was a magnificent Red Jasper in Doctor Who and the Pirates, recorded in 2003. Our condolences to his family and friends.

I also mourn the passing of Bill Oddie whom I worked with on several occasions He was funny talented and an original Yes he could be grumpy. A characteristic I am proud to share with him. Along with his passion for wildlife. We will all miss him.

Every pride month at least one person sends me this cartoon of @oldsixie.bsky.social at Pride. This year it was @thasceles.bsky.social. Always makes me smile. (credit in link)

A two panel comic. In panel 1 the sixth doctor and Peri are walking down a street, and a pride parade is happening next to them. The parade is very colourful with an array of pride flags and shirts. Various paraders are complimenting Sixie on his coat.

In the second panel Sixie is grinning, surrounded by flags and saying "i have found my people". Peri replies "doctor, this is a gay pride parade", and he says "exactly".

End Bird Shooting @endbirdshooting.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

The bird shooting industry hates us right now. Which is good. It means we're doing something right. They hate the fact their industry is being exposed to millions of people.
