Anti Brexit. Pro democratic accountability. Suspicious of self proclaiming "patriots" and "Christians" - they are neither patriotic or Christian in their outlook or actions.

I thought cerebral was a disqualification in the Tories. All thinkers were kicked out by Johnson. "Girly swot" was the phrase he used. And that was against Cameron - hardly a towering intellect, but head and shoulders above anything in the party today.

I bet those gold trimmings didn't come from a Hobbycraft spray can - like the whore's bedroom themed Oval Office.

It's not what she said. But if she said they were going to use the money to feed kittens it's still a proscribed organisation. The merits of the proscription is another matter - but today it is so payments destined for them are stopped at source.

Implicit is all we have. If Trump notices he could do the work of a thousand Russain bot farms with three phone calls. We would be as weak as new born kittens if UK iPhones, Google, Android and Windows computers found themselves cut adrift.

I say the banks won't - they can't - it's illegal with criminal sanctions for the bank and staff.

It's not the publisher directly but banks won't move money they suspect is destined for a proscribed organisation. If the publisher tried they could find themselves complicit and with no bank account.

Between this and Starlink being throttled it's time for the UK and EU to call a spade a spade and declare the US a power, hostile to Continental European interests. But we can't because we are overly dependent on US tech. Three phone calls from the WH and we would be on our knees within 24hrs.

I had a card fraud call when I was out one day. I said, nice as you like "Thanks for letting me know, put your extension no on my customer file and I'll call you back from my landline in a few minutes". The dog's abuse I got. He ended up swearing and screaming at me!

Party leader says Jenrick’s comments ‘misconstrued’, after MP said Royal Marines would be allowed to fire at those on boats

How much of Johnson's reluctance is related to his off the books meetings with known KGB agent Lebedev Sr when Foreign Secretary and the enablement of Lebedev Jr?! He can trumpet his support for Ukraine but his possible undermining the of UK needs to be looked into.

That is exactly what I said when I was watching Time on iPlayer last night. About a different part of the system but equally applicable to all parts. It's about punishment and degradation. Justice and rehabilitation costs too much apparently despite the benefits.

Wikipedia is just there. Well known. Trusted (with caveats). Open to anyone to write, edit and upload articles on any topic. Why try and start a rival when the incumbent would welcome your contributions adding to the sum of human knowledge and filling gaps?

Maybe companies and governments will realise that much of the engagement they were seeing on X is in fact bots and not customers and voters and realise the cost of leaving X will not be as high as they thought.

All the more reason for the council to support the plan to reduce their housing waiting list...but hey ho. Councillors will not have heard from them, but they will from the house owners on the edge of the land and who don't want to lose their dog walking area.

Teff is naturally GF - but...a very big but - it is grown on rotation with or alongside non GF grains and harvested, milled and processed with shared plant & equipment so is very likely to be cross contaminated with gluten. So you should only use GF certified teff and teff products. Same with oats.

From an employee experience there is a connection between direct and PE ownership, as Mrs Andgrump has found out, with cost cutting, value extraction, product enshitification and preparing for sale to the next PE owner to start the cycle again.

TBH, even for a couple of hundred quid I'd expect my suit to not fit like it was stitched together from a couple of potato sacks. All his money and he's too tight to visit a tailor once a year and have a couple of suits made. Or did he stiff some NY tailors and get blacklisted. Probably.

I've always contended that Americans are only half civilised. There is a very thin veneer of respectability - but scratch the surface. Permissive gun laws. Death penalty. Penal slavery. Voter suppression. Gerrymandering. All virtually absent in Western democracies but alive and kicking in the US.

My dog found one one night. Went in for closer inspection and a sniff. He touched the spines with his nose and did a Basil Fawlty style backwards leap! After he got the measure of them he used to just pick them up in his mouth and trot off. Would only swap it for a ball.

Wheat is a globally traded product and Europe uses a lot of N.American wheat. And gluten is gluten. There is celiac and NCGS in Europe. If bread in Europe does not trigger the same effects as in N.America then it's not the wheat or gluten you need to look at. Look at other ingredients.

More likely the celiac children that would have died young grew into adulthood after GF diets were adopted in the 1950s, passing the gene to the next generation. Same for T1 diabetes from the discovery of insulin 100 years ago.

Soil depletion debukned here. And the depletion in vegetables is not proven. Poor data and different analysis methods make historical comparisons difficult. Not saying malnutrition is not a thing - but it's likely poor diet or other causes (e.g. celiac) rather than the vegetables.

Flour fortification is required to replace vital nutrients lost from wheat in the milling process and a bulwark against various diseases associated with a diet dominated by flour and bread and folic acid in particular to reduce birth defects. He wants to make our health poorer. Why? Bastard.

Great listen as normal. There *was* something for everyone in Badenoch's speech. Tax cuts for the rich, threats of a kicking for the working age poor and for the rest of us - the frustration of watching middle income voters panicking over an IHT regime that will never affect them. Still nasty.

Considering IHT is only applies to less than 5% of estates I'd say that is a fairly safe bet. We are talking about the most asset rich estates. Not the ordinary voters - which is why I am constanltly amazed IHT has such a sway on voting.
