This is what’s happening in Texas. I grew up in public schools in the 60s/70s, and I am proud of it. I worry about the kids in small town rural Texas. If Abbott succeeds with ruining public schools, what will those kids do—spend hours on a bus to the nearest private school or move away from

I’m a Texas, so I really need my AC. Other than that, I’m jealous of universal healthcare and everything else. I lived in Germany for a couple of years in the late 1970s—probably too young to appreciate it fully. My favorite thing back then was the Schnellimbiss—pommes frites mit mayo especially.

What about in cases of incomplete miscarriages? Texas women died when they did not receive timely treatment, due to provider fears that surgical removal of the unviable fetus would be considered abortion and they could be jailed or lose their license.
