Summer Tananger somewhere close. I don’t always see the birds, but can definitely hear them.

From Maria Shriver…I was wondering when someone who is actually a Kennedy would speak out.

Back in July, this kitty showed up at my house. I petted her, fed her, and gave her water, and then she went on her merry way. I had never seen her before. She had a flea collar on, and I figured she belonged to someone in the neighborhood.

Wouldn’t it be fun if whoever builds the Arch would just build it to the exact specifications as the model Trump is holding in his hand? Like Spinal Tap? I’m easily amused…

I’m a 71 year old woman. I wear no makeup. I am also a Texas Democrat—some folks might say I’m “antifa”. I’m don’t think I’m deformed or abnormal. I wear jeans and t-shirts like other women my age. I walk upright. I shouldn’t be mistaken for a feral animal, as Stephen Miller and others claim.

I live in Denton TX. Turns out that Texas AG Ken Paxton committed voter fraud by voting in Collin County when he was actually residing in Denton County. Denton County Democrats are asking our DA to file charges against Paxton and are calling for his second impeachment.

Letter to Denton County DA re: voter fraud charges for Ken Paxton

There are a lot of cat lovers here, and I know you know more than I do about cat breeds. This is my Luna. She is 1.5 years old, and I’m trying to figure what kind of cat she is. She is predominantly white with a multicolor tail, and with almost black and tan spots. Is she a certain breed or type?

We haven’t been to a large concert venue in years. Too expensive and not worth the hassle for older fans. Check out what concert tickets used to cost in the good old days…hubby kept his ticket stubs…

I’ve been saying that the “ballroom” is not a ballroom.

What happened last night is exactly the reason that our great Military, Secret Service, Law Enforcement and, for different reasons, every President for the last 150 years, have been DEMANDING that a large, safe, and secure Ballroom be built ON THE GROUNDS OF THE WHITE
HOUSE. This event would never have happened with the Militarily Top Secret Ballroom currently under construction at the White House. It cannot be built fast enough! While beautiful, it has every highest level security feature there is plus, there are no rooms sitting on top for unsecured people to pour in, and is inside the gates of the most secure building in the World, The White House. The ridiculous Ballroom lawsuit, brought by a woman walking her dog, who has absolutely No Standing to bring such a suit, must be dropped, immediately. Nothing should be allowed to interfere with with its construction, which is on budget and substantially ahead of schedule!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

There are many slipcovers out there. Ours was specifically made to fit the IKEA Ektorp sofa—it’s not velvet but velvet-like (microfiber?). Machine washable. They will still periodically scratch their claws on the cover but no damage so far. Kitties like to sleep on the couch…

Love Torties. I’ve had 2 over the years—1 currently (6 years old dilute tortie) and one who died from a cancer several years ago. The kitty on the left is my current tortie Pearl. On the left is Pearl playing with my deceased tortie Cali.

We’re in our 70s. There are a couple of smaller venues we stick to in Dallas TX. Affordable and we can uber. No more stadiums for us. The attached photo is of ticket stubs from concerts my husband went to in the 1970s. Those were the days…

The author of the below opinion piece is a veterinarian, rancher, and former member of the Texas state house. He and I are from the same neck of the woods—small town almost-West Texas. He is a Republican. Click on the photo to see it. The tide IS turning, folks…
