In closing: Lore on sagas is fixed. (Again?) Prepared spells have unexpected combo potential (cast from exile). Paradigm is still slightly unclear. Everything else is clarity stuff or tiny bug fixes.

Errata for UN-cards to add the book subtype makes me laugh. I do wonder if this new subtype will have any genuinely useful ramifications long-term... but I doubt it. Its rare something looks at subtypes on artifacts...its usually for lessons, creatures, or lands.

Going through updates now. Book added, giraffe added, X spells are clearer in weird situations, cool. Colorless/generic clarity. Cool. More clarity.... etc etc... Lore counters DO WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE TO BEGIN WITH

Paradigm is interesting, but also is both the most complex and least well-explained. Come on. My understanding? Cast it, exile it. Every new first main phase, you can cast a copy. I BUT Even if you cast 3 of the same paradigm spell and exile them all, you only get one free copy per turn. I think.

Skipping infusion and flashback because they're obvious. Increment works as expected if you know all the nitty gritty of MTG rules (check twice etc)

Opus: As expected. But good that they highlight it. X spells, kicker costs, buyback costs all impact the ">5 mana" stuff.

Prepared spells are officially cast from exile? That means...

Context: "Return target nonland permanent from your graveyard to the battlefield. Paradigm" (Paradigm: exile this card when it resolves. At the start of every pre-combat main phase, you can cast a copy.) Paradigm is like Epic, except its good.

I wonder of Kona/Omniscience has more of a chance with the addition of Paradigm cards Also easy to see why they'd be extra concerned about Abuelo's Awakening shit

I've been playing Dragon Quest 3 (HD-Remake) and I came to a point where I needed to make a merchant to send off for the main story and I just kind of made a guy called "Fat Chud" thinking this would be of no consequence. Immediately I'm faced with the consequence of my actions

I'm super excited to help Spooky & crew execute on this new ICFC! It's been in the works for what feels like forever, so I'm both stoked & relieved that it's finally here haha. I really think it's gonna be an effective way to support offline grassroots FGC events. Check it out!

That old saw about how "good times make weak men" is true in the sense that stable times with material abundance create reactionaries who want to destroy the systems that protect them because they're too sheltered and stupid to understand that things can get meaningfully worse.

I don't think a lot of people appreciate how much of their overall lifestyle and relative certainty is backstopped by a steady, boring stability of systems they don't understand or even realize exist.

True decadence looks like people who are three generations removed from the cultural memory of polio refusing to vaccinate their children against deadly communicable diseases because they don't like needles and don't think there will be any consequences, not queer dance parties.
