Had a blast at RomCon at the Westminster Public Library last night! Over 200 locals came to meet other readers, play bingo, make keychains, see a panel, and find new stories! Eight authors rocked it, meeting, greeting, and signing. I love this event SO much. #librarylove #books #reading #romance

Today I started packing to move overseas, and I put over 600 books into 13 boxes (some were very big boxes) to stay here and not come with me. It was emotionally taxing and made me realize...this is real. I'm really moving.

For someone who only saw an ocean once, I sure wrote two books about it. Decided to tag along on my bestie's cruise vacation to do some REAL research. Had a blast in Nassau and Half Moon Cay. Swam in ocean! Tasted it. It was gross.

End of Day Update: Rewrote my way through chapters 1, 2, and part of 3. I have 17.5 chapters left to go! Did things improve? I think so. Found some good moments for character development. It felt SO GOOD to write as much as I did today, for as long as I did today.

Been working on a lot of writing, but I'm making the most progress in ACTUAL MAGIC - which has been a lot of fun. I'm past the halfway point, in to the thick of it. It has been SO HARD to write while the world burns down around me, not going to lie. I'm proud of me, today. 💕

What is a bathroom bounty law? It means ANYONE can call my presence in a restroom in and I will get fined and/or arrested. But in a fun twist, this law also makes whatever public space part of the report as well. Which means the HOTEL has incentive not to have me, as they can get fined. 🧵

Trans Awareness Week: Today I learned I can no longer attend a conference that I entered the contest for, because their state won't let me use the bathroom. Between that and the couple that talked loudly about how disgusting my existence is while I was at my favorite café today, I think I'm done.

The hardest part of being trans has ALWAYS been everyone else. Forcing me to out myself, asking invasive questions, trying to decide what I can and cannot say. Other people care a lot about me. Basically, I was always a boy, I just didn't know it. Neither did anyone else. The word transgender helped me tell folks about it. It helped me realize that my dreams could come true. Little me wishing on my birthday candles could have what he always wanted. The hard part was everyone else. 🧵
