Had a blast at RomCon at the Westminster Public Library last night! Over 200 locals came to meet other readers, play bingo, make keychains, see a panel, and find new stories! Eight authors rocked it, meeting, greeting, and signing. I love this event SO much. #librarylove #books #reading #romance

For someone who only saw an ocean once, I sure wrote two books about it. Decided to tag along on my bestie's cruise vacation to do some REAL research. Had a blast in Nassau and Half Moon Cay. Swam in ocean! Tasted it. It was gross.

A young man with red brown hair all wild, curly, and wind swept. He has a beard and large rounded yellow glasses on. Behind him is a bright blue sky, blue water, and the Atlantis resort on Nassau, Bahamas. Also visible is part of a cruise ship lounge deck lined with chairs.

Been working on a lot of writing, but I'm making the most progress in ACTUAL MAGIC - which has been a lot of fun. I'm past the halfway point, in to the thick of it. It has been SO HARD to write while the world burns down around me, not going to lie. I'm proud of me, today. 💕

An image collage. Two hands clasped in a rainbow. A castle in the mountains. One short pair of sneakers on tip toe standing toe to toe with a pair flat-footed, implying a kiss. A dark academia picture of someone studying with tea, and a book about moths. A blond, muscled young man in black and white. A soft-featured young man with dark shaggy hair. A library packed with old books. Blue sparkles and hands holding golden light. Text in the center says: ACTUAL MAGIC. Rivals to lovers. Opposites attract. Magical school. LGBTQ+. It quotes the book in an excerpt: "You know what the worst thing ever is? When you're having a crappy day and the weather is perfect. I'm talking blue sky, sun shining, just enough of a breeze to keep the temperature right where you want it - only everything else is awful. Like now."

Sometimes writing at my local @barnesandnoble.com is the only way I can get things done. The Superior CO location has an awesome café with outlets and the best staff. Plus it's huge! Have you been? It only just opened, check it out!

Happy Trans Day of Visibility. I'm trans, and gender nonconforming. The past few months have been terrifying, but I am still here and still wearing hairbows. I can't stop being myself and reveling in my own joy. I just can't.

Didn't get into the Trans Cohort I applied for, but spots were tight! Still not going to stop being an advocate in my community for gender expansive identities. I'm too queer to look straight and I shouldn't be afraid to leave my house in a hairbow!

If I had a nickel for every time I got a weird Christianity-related book misprinted inside my k*ller ghost island dark fantasy book, I would have two nickels...which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

A sliver of the cover of City of Day by October K Santerelli, and the front page of the interior - Christmas before Christianity, printed where the original book should be.

I am missing a piece from Rapunzel, SADDEST STORY OF MY LIFE. Anyway I started a new puzzle this morning.

A partially finished puzzle of Camilla d'Errico Hydie. Three dragons, a face, and the edges are complete.

A Tomas Kinkade Rapunzel puzzle that is missing one piece. The worst.

City of Day is relaunching soon (when pre-orders open for book 2, City of Night), and I'm excited. I fixed the typo on page four! And if you want one of the old copies, I do still have a handful left...but the new ones have chapter headers soooooo.

A book cover for City of Day where two hands are holding an orb with a city inside. Beside it are review snippets. 'It took me on an adventure I'm not soon to forget.' 'Found family, magic, and generational mysteries, with creatively unique world-building.' 'A tense fantasy story done right.' 'Action from the moment you step into the book.' 'I never guessed where this story was heading, lots of twists and turns.' 4.5 stars.
