I'm 3 weeks out from surgery. Recovery was quite easy; once I left the hospital I felt fine and was just on ibuprofen and antibiotics

Before/after CT scans showing a chunk in the middle of the brow which was removed, reshaped, and bolted in place

There are definitely worse ways to spend surgery recovery

Some other big and/or goofy guys I've learned about recently en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PZL_M-1... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov... (RIP) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convair... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonne... And maybe the most insane, the theorized but never built Tupolev OOS (pictured)

I played 3 sets across 2 shows this weekend. I'm exhausted but omg so much fun~

Julien playing guitar with her band Stolen Velour in a brick shed. There's a mic in front of her and a stack of amps and drum kit behind. She's wearing tights, shorts, and a black crop tank that says "trad wife" and earrings that say "bimbo."

Julien from the same show in the shed but she's playing bass now, backing Chris Kraemer. The lighting is more interesting (darker and less even) because it was shot on a fancy camera instead of an iPhone

Julien playing bass on stage under purple lights. Her hair is flying out above her head. Next to her Kelly Romo is playing guitar

Y'all my partners got together and surprised me with a homemade vegan lemon poppyseed cake for my birthday 😭 How did I get so lucky @kathebooks.com @this-is-john.bsky.social @maddieisntfunny.bsky.social

The cake. It's got a skeet of Julien's and it's surrounded by the last supper with Julien as Jesus and the three of them as apostles

@maddieisntfunny.bsky.social took some band photos of us yesterday, and some of them turned out real good

Four people sit outside and abandoned church. There's a tall woman in a transparent sunset crop top and a frilly off-white skirt. Julien sits on a wall looking off to the side with sunglasses, a black dress, flower tights, and Docs. A woman stands behind her with her arm on the balcony. She has a deep red lip and she's smiling softly. The last person has one arm on the wall and one in their back pocket. They are wearing a vest with horses on it over an unbuttoned and rolled sleeve white shirt, and tan pants with a large buckle. The stained glass of the church is in the background and a tree with purple flowers is in foreground

The same people lean on a red graffiti'ed wall. The woman in the cowboy hat is in front with her arm on her waist, head cocked to the side. Out of focus in the background are the other three

A picture through a car side mirror shows them standing around and blowing on dandelions

A black and white photo of them from the reflection in a shop window, with graffiti partially covering their faces. They all face to the right, with a blurry car passing in the background

The show last night was absolutely incredible. We had twice as many people as expected show up, and everyone performing was in their element. We're forming our own little music scene. I feel so lucky to get to do this. Thanks for everyone who showed up 💚 Better pics to follow but here's a few

Sorry I haven't been as active on here. I've been avoiding the news and spending time with friends and music. We're playing our first show Friday. Trans Joy is praxis. 💚
