two english bookshops in the same neighborhood now, on top of a sci-fi/fantasy bookshop, one for a big online retailer, the lgbtq one 15 mins walk away, and a few more independent ones popping up here and there. not bad for a city of ca 330k.

you know, one thing i love when you get really in the weeds for an OTP you develop a canon of works that influence how you think about them/inspire new deep AUs and ideas; from music and playlists to films and books... it's always really fun compiling a list, like seeing a constellation take shape.

had a classmate at uni who wrote her dissertation on Good Sapphic Literature. her criteria were: no coming out, no trauma related to sexuality, no miscommunication, no break-ups, no cheating, no sad ending, no homophobia. according to her, only 1.5 good sapphic books existed.
