A means to repair floor damage would be nice but as it stands, lasting 5mins+ isn't too hard in an era where you were expected to last 2-3mins, until a mixture of underestimated skill & overestimated design saw lots of games become marathon-able I had way more fun than was anticipated tbh

I'm going out on a limb to say that this game is good and much better than Space Invaders. In SI you just die after a few screens when an Invader shoots at the wrong time, can't be dodged unless you're doing Nagoya, which is skilled but dull. In BB the mistakes are on you & they build up until death

This was one of my fave PS1 games & is much the same thing only better, as it has a Chocobo instead of a Shiren. It is also not racist. Or if it is, it's in Japanese which you might not understand so well, so you can give him the benefit of the doubt You should play this instead

Sengoku 2001 is Sengoku 3 but on a Japanese MVS - the non-Jp ver ramps up enemy health & adds in loads of extra enemies to nearly all screens, so it becomes an absolute boredom slog fest that's less fun in every way

Combat Tribes & Metamorphic Force are garbage if you don't play the Jp versions. Literal pay to play. MF non-Jp can be 1cc'd but it's 100% luck based on random health drops Sengoku 3 is worse than Sengoku 2001. Same with Ninja Gaiden overseas ver tldr, try to play the Jp versions of arcade games

If shooting Balloons with Bombs isn't your thing then Porkers & Sweets also exist No idea on the quality but afaik all of the previous X360 to modern systems stuff they've done has been sound. Seems to have all of the modes from before + a new arranged OST

I lucked out by getting into Jp imports almost exclusively from the very end of the 80s, so I pretty much went from UK computer games to Jp console games & got to miss the entirety of dumb name & design changes myself, only seeing bits of it from the sidelines Gunbird & Shikigami no Shiro for me
