someone told me that before fancy climbing shoes climbers would chucks that were a bit too small, wear the soles down so they were thinner, and bango you had a pair of shoes you could climb in that stuck to the bottom of your foot. For lifting, esp deadlifts, i like chucks, stay flat and grounded
