Here's another of those screws (bottom-left) next to a screw that worked with my PH-00 screwdriver. Is it just a PH-000 screwdriver that's needed, but by mistake Dell called it PH-01?
The screw in question has a smaller cross than the PH-00 screw.

Does anyone know what size screwdriver this screw needs (it's something smaller than Phillips #00)? Dell's manual ( […] [Original post on social.coop]
A cross-head screw next to a ruler. The cross is around 2mm in diameter, and the arms of the cross are less than a millimetre thick.

I forgot to buy eclipse glasses, but saw the eclipse anyway via shadows on the wall. So lucky! #eclipse #solareclipse #eclipse2026
Golden crescents scatter over a rectangular section of a dark brown wall, giving it a feathery texture. It's the eclipse naturally projected through a window.

@liaizon The main codeberg.org's down now as well (503 Service Unavailable). #codeberg The Fediverse instance you mentioned has a status message; I've attached its Firefox machine translation. It doesn't state any cause such as denial of service, except that […] [Original post on social.coop]
❌ **Failure of proxmox-01**: social.anoxinon.de

Message

social.anoxinon.de is currently unavailable. Cause: Outage of the underlying host (proxmox-01). We're already at the fix.

Log

NVME of the Hetzner Root Server failed. Exchange is ongoing.

Restore of the VE is addressed.

Simultaneous failure of both root NVME. Exchanges.

The restore determined that an important directory did not secure, will see if a second backup variant that we still had, reached here.

Backup of the second variant via BorgMatic is on the recovery. But will break through the extent for some time.

2027-07-31

RAID1/5/6/* is not a backup and a backup should be complete. Our backup was not and had a gap, the DB. We are currently looking at it. You are welcome to use XMPP at xmpp: anoxinon@conference.anoxinon.me ? join in the discussion. Today is also only the 2. Day after the disaster and we go through all the backups again, whether something is hidden in one.

The sunset last night in Sussex was beautiful... (© 2026 Oliver Geer, licensed CC-BY-SA-4.0)
The sunset showing a gentle vertical gradient from light blue to white clouds to pink then to light blue again, behind dark blue hills with a few household lights visible, and the silhouettes of trees in the foreground.A similar image, but the colours now form light blue, pink, white, pink, light blue. This is just the same image, now mirrored vertically so the trees appear upside down at the top as well as at the bottom.

Deutsche Bahn in the UK? Yes (but for cargo, not passengers). Seems quite apt to see this for the first time after going to the EMF hacker (read: tinkerer, maker) camp. Hacker camps are very big in Germany... uk.dbcargo.com/rail-uk-en/our-compa…
A sign with the Deutsche Bahn logo, the text "Didcot Yard", and some safety warnings. It is next to the fence of a railway behind which there is a yard and verge.

[alcohol (indirect, neutral); a non-alcohol joke] Remember, anarcho-syndicalists, this DrinkAware notice is especially for you! /joking #anarchism #alcohol
A notice over a stand of wine bottles, with a red and black background resembling the anarcho-syndicalist flag. The notice reads "Under 25? Please be prepared to show proof of age when buying alcohol".

#event: As a professional #programmer and lover of #FOSS, should I be embracing #GenAI or boycotting it? @totherme is giving a talk followed by a Q&A, open to everyone in #Oxford and online, to get us closer to answering this question! Everyone's welcome, from […] [Original post on social.coop]
LLMs are revolutionising coding:

Empowering non-programmers to solve previously intractable problems.

Shovelling toxic agentic asbestos into our digital infrastructure

Making existing professional programmers hundreds of times more productive

Destroying the jobs market and causing layoffs

Finding CVEs and making us more secure

Wasting ecosystem-changing quantities of electricity and water

As a professional programmer and lover of Free and Open-Source Software, should I be embracing GenAI or boycotting it?
