On the job? But think about the example she's setting for the rest of the team!

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Same. I mean most of the time it's that or death, so not much of a choice.

So does life as a Spartan. He's never in one place for too long, and if he is, it's probably because he's stranded somewhere.

000

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Well that makes more sense. Early days are kind of a constant thing for him, or near-constant, anyways.

Sometimes, you just gotta go back to basics, wind up your fists, and hit your target as hard as you can. Yes, it also does help your chances when those fists are made stronger by some of the single most expensive pieces of military hardware in human history.

Only so much waiting I can do and so many sims I can do to keep myself occupied.

He doesn't mind ship life, but sometimes he does wish he had a patio to step onto in the morning. No smoking allowed in his quarters, unfortunately.

Well, if there was ever a reason to jump in a pool fully-clothed, I guess this would be it.

The bags under his eyes are getting heavy, his hair is messy, and he's got a thousand-yard stare. He needs rest, he knows he does, but he doesn't want it. He'll rest when he physically can't hold himself up. He's got another round in the simulator.

What the fuck is he looking at, exactly?

001

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

He's not a big fan of "situation room duty" as he likes to call it. Running an op (even a simulated one) isn't bad, he just prefers to be out on the field. At least it's not cargo duty.

Oh, I assumed you had gone out like... earlier. I'm on my way, then.

I wouldn't be opposed. I can hop in next time you're out and about.

// I feel like I could slot Ben into the Marvel/DC verses pretty easily I mean "supersoldier" is not an uncommon archetype lmao I'd probably re-work his backstory a bit (obviously) but I feel like his augmentations and gear would translate pretty nicely as well

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

That sounds about right. Sims never compare to the real thing.

000

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Eh, here and there. Not something he thinks about too often, really.

000

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

How do those compare to the simulators? He's never been able to actually pilot one before.

000

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝟎𝟗𝟎 @ofscarletsparta.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

You know, he doesn't usually get the chance to do much piloting. Guess his "get in the front line and tank a bunch of damage for everyone" skills are just too useful.
