Last but not least, Gábor Holtai's FEELS LIKE HOME (2025), a Hungarian Lanthimos-esque film that initially (abduction & imprisonment) feels like a torture porn set-up. But no! It's much more fun (and funnier, and thought-provoking) than that. Best seen without knowing too much. 21h30 at Cinema Nova!

Another part of the decor at Cinema Nova in Brussels. Our matinee at 2.30pm, Sunday 15 March: THE WIZ (1978). This is where 19-year old Michael Jackson, who played Scarecrow, met Quincy Jones, music arranger & supervisor on the film; the result would be Off the Wall.

...but also lesser-known gems such as THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THE DARK, BLOOD CEREMONY, KILLER OF DOLLS, CREATION OF THE DAMNED, THE GLASS CEILING, I HATE MY BODY, POACHERS, FACES, CANICHE. Each new, unfamiliar film turned out to be a total delight, audacious, outrageous and/or completely bonkers.
