A Stonewall UK study found that 95% of LGBTQ+ youth said the Internet helped them find positive role models. 90% felt they could be themselves online.

A Trevor Project survey found that 63% of LGBTQ+ youth felt that their own homes were not LGBTQ+ affirming spaces and 45% believed the same was true of their schools.

As a result, GLSEN found that LGBT youth spend 45 minutes/day more online than their non-LGBT peers. Digital spaces serve as life-saving havens for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults.
