Could you link the source to that? I’m having a hard time finding it.

I made a set up in vnyan to give my robot model subtle mechanical sounds as I move around! You might need to turn the video up I actually made this a month ago, I'm not happy with it, but I'm trying to improve it. I'm worried it might get too intrusive, is this something I should try?

Which is hilariously ironic given a big theme of the story is “express yourself, be vulnerable, create art!” If they feel so strongly about it they should make their own story.

Calling me stupid will not make me engage with you. I haven’t never insulted you once in this discussion. You have proven that you are unable to have a civil discussion without resorting to personal insults. Reflect on that(or don’t it makes no difference to me) and have a nice day.

Best we can do now is support our respective favorite game and hope for the best. It’s not the best conclusion but that’s the hand the devs and the fans have been dealt I’m afraid. I’m very glad the server slam did so well! It only means good things for everyone Cheers from a Runner to a Guardian!

At the very least it does not cost much to maintain Marathon, especially compared to a Titan like Destiny and while it’s not generating as much as expected, it’s still generating something. That 1.2 billion billion though? Gone. That easily could have been 2 xpacs or even start development on D3.

I get what you mean. I’m just saying that even if we’re mad at him, it’s not enough, not even close. I don’t mind bungie taking a risk and making different games. They are a game studio after all. They’ve been doing these risky plays since the Halo days. Sometimes it works out & this time it didn’t

I’m tired of Dev teams and the games they make being scapegoated for the decision of some asshat executive. Despicable how much these fuckers get away with robbery while everyone else is left holding the bag and has to answer to a rightfully angry fanbase.

I was referring to your comment about how someone could be more invested in Destiny over Marathon. I have never been more invested in a universe since getting into 40k. Also if you want to cite a leech I would prefer you look to Pete Parsons who mismanaged 1.2 Billion in employee retention funds.

Furthermore, there are many games that use narrative to engage players in the long term. There is nothing wrong with that. Prime example is FF14, which has a great story. It just chooses to tell its story differently than Marathon, Metroid prime, or the Souls series.

I love the Souls series to pieces, ever since the Dark Souls one. Making baseless assumptions about me will not help your argument.

You are correct which is why I gave you my subjective experience with Marathon, which was positive.

This is why your criticism is subjective. I don’t believe Marathon is written poorly at all. I found it compelling enough to play the old games and was surprised to find great consistency in quality and continuity. I’ve had great discussions with older fans on the threads between the old & the new

This is very dismissive to any game that delivers world building and narrative in a similar fashion, like Fromsoft games(which are loved for its lore). I believe that games are a medium that can tell its story and world building beyond exposition and set pieces Your criticism is subjective at best

It’s a 30 year old IP. The community for old Marathon is still alive and have mostly embraced the new stuff. As a newcomer to both the new and old marathon I was blown away by the community’s dedication. The databases they’ve made alone is quite frankly insane. Your assumption is utterly unfounded

Omg YES dude I got into Madoka this year with Rebellion cementing my love for the series. I’m lucky to not have to wait long for the movie cause apparently it’s been a long time coming.
