Northbound Hwy 12 off Hatteras is now open. A southbound Hwy 12 temporary lane heading to Hatteras/Ocracoke is opening Wednesday. Traffic over the “patched” Hwy 12 to Hatteras and Ocracoke will be open in both directions by this weekend. Your mid October OBX travel plan is still good to see Ocracoke
