I got my 2 Autarchs painted up last night! The Wayleaper includes bits from 6 different figures, and I attached the tactical rock at an angle to bring the center axis significantly forward for a more graceful sense of motion. #warhammer #40k #aeldari #eldar #warhammercommunity #nerdlings

Which is perfectly fine. :) I just don’t think I make anything or have the skills to be an “artist”. Just to be clear this is a personal thing only. I enjoy seeing everyone else’s work. Perhaps it’s just a healthy dose of imposter syndrome around something not critical to my life…

Every time I see one of the "repost with your take" chains where it includes "artists" I always feel "well that's not me, I'm not an artist". I think miniature painting cannot be art, but I just don't think I produce art.

#orktober continues with all the orks assembled this month now primed. Once that’s all good and dry it will be time to lay down some shadows and base tones. Oh and I primed some more terrain, meaning I now have a whole table (plus a little) at least built and primed. #WarhammerCommunity #nerdlings

The “bread” is “democracy” and “freedom” now. At least one Emperor without clothes is already telling his people to “eat cake”. So we will see just how interesting times get. Because “bread and circuses” didn’t keep the people happy forever.

Still haven’t picked up a brush since coming back home, but Ork assembly continues apace. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll sort out primer and can move forward much faster on painting them. After I finish assembly on the Squigg buggy…

The problem then becomes one of cost. I’d rather tell people to buy 3 Vallejo Game Colour at 18ml a bottle than 2 Tone Pro at 12ml. Especially as the BSL system does the same thing. (Can replace Vallejo with Army Painter.) The Tone Pro might be best for yellow though.

In the hour I spent playing with Tone Pro, nothing about it made it seem better than the paints I already have. However if you were brand new I would say it’s worth investing in as a core.

Well got to sit down and play with the Warhammer Pro Paints today. They have a weird brush feel - heavy I suppose compared to other paints. Coverage was good and they mixed fine. But just sitting on a palette in small amounts they beaded oddly and dried fast. #WarhammerCommunity #nerdlings
