This Hobonichi Techo cover of MOTHER 1's logo on a red background is officially named "MOTHER BEGINNINGS". A combination of the Japanese series title and the later given name to the first game's localization. This is the only known official case of "MOTHER BEGINNINGS".

One of MOTHER3's early subtitles, Forest of Strange Creatures (奇怪生物の森 ), could also be interpreted as "Forest of Mechanical Creatures" (機械生物の森 ) when read aloud. While being a neat play on words, it also serves as foreshadowing about the game's chimeras.

During his televised attempts to excavate the Tokugawa buried treasure, Shigesato Itoi wore a jacket to advertise MOTHER2's upcoming release. The jacket itself was black and, on the back in yellow, featured the MOTHER2 logo with the text "COMMING SOON!" beneath.

An unused texture of a golden dragon statue in SSBB's New Pork City stage. This is most likely an early version of the dragon statues found outside of the Empire Porky Building, however, no such sprite exists in MOTHER3's data. Here is a mockup of how it could've looked in-game.

MOTHER logo creator, Masaharu Takada, said in an interview that he decided early on to use red for the box art of MOTHER. If this decision was made before the final logo was created, then this is what the box art could've looked like if the early UFO logo was never scrapped.

Hobonichi has a digital store for CDs and downloads of music by Keiichi Suzuki's band, the Moonriders. The art was made by Nobuhiro Imagawa. The store is has many MOTHER references, such as, the MOTHER 3+ album, figures of a Clayman, Starman, Mr. Saturn, etc. Even Biff makes a cameo!

E3 2010 3DS demos, discovered by James-Money, reveal that the 3D Classics line had many more games planned. "Earth Bound Zero" is one of them, showing that there was already internal interest in releasing the localization build and that Nintendo used the fan name to refer to it.
