Picked up a paperback of The Pride of Chanur by C.J. Cherry. The cover touts it as a "Science Fiction Book Club Selection". In the postal mail days I was a subscriber. Nice lists, and in those infrequent episodes where I forgot to send in the Do Not Buy postcard the novel was still passably good.
