That was the dumbest NFL game I've ever seen

ESPN used to be a place to go for sports highlights, player insights and funny anchors. And now it's a douchebag roid case in a tank top screaming about the betting lines.

This Macklemore/Ed Sheeran situation is going to end up one of the biggest Streisand Effect moments of all time. I certainly never would have known who was touring with Sheeran, much less what was said on stage, if this didn't happen

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Highlights of LeBron James when he was 18 make it look like he was lying about his age and he was actually much older. Highlight of LeBron James when he's 41 make it look like he is lying about his age and he's actually much younger.

Writers.... writers are cool. Novels, movies, poems, pithy posts, songs. All exist because of writers. Props to people who write.

Brief rant: Yes it's cool that Brunson took less money so the Knicks could build a champion under the salary cap. But he shouldn't have *had* to. Salary caps are just tools billionaires use to suppress wages, and no one gets upset because the labor (pro athletes) make so much money. 1/5

People blame players in every sports labor dispute because they have names you recognize and the faceless owner class mostly doesn't. But the owners are the ones telling Jalen Brunson he has to take a below market deal -- sorry, dem's the rules! -- while ignoring that *they made the rules*. 4/5

Now MLB wants to impose a salary cap, claiming it's good for parity. It's not. It's good for *owners.* Brunson is worth like 3x his salary, at least, and the only reason he had to take less money is because they league arbitrarily decided to limit payroll and penalize teams who spend. 3/5

Remember this scene the next time a corporate reporter tries to insist that a rural diner full of white men in their 60s is somehow a more authentically "American" place, somehow more representative of who we are as a nation.
