Cold front has officially moved in and they were even happier cats when I reopened the windows at lunch.

Husband had opened the downstairs windows this morning and the cats were naturally curious so I moved their cat tower over and they were very happy!

Yahoo forcing me to use their updated email layout is making me not want to read my emails there at all. The layout is difficult to read and I've tried the black and the white backgrounds and nothing seems to make it any better. No way to get back to Classic that I can see.

Getting an email from the Florida Trail Assn director this afternoon saying the USDA still hasn't approved their funding for operations for 2026...as we're about to close it out. And If nothing is approved by spring 2027, they are looking at $110K deficit. Not great for our nat'l scenic trails.

Also, what many men think is a "good dad" and what women think is a "good dad" are vastly different and being a "good dad" doesn't always translate to being a good member of a household, either. It's not any one single thing, which I think many men want to deduce it down to.

I usually get massages that are firm to deep tissue but recently (and last night) I've been getting massages with people who don't do those and there is definitely something to be said about dozing on the table instead of grimacing in pain.

Husband and I both did the grocery shopping together this week since kiddo is with grandparents. Usually we alternate. Anyway, we both thought we had "done good" with what we bought and laughed and looked at each other in astonishment when the damn cart still rang up around $150. *sigh*

Supposed to be attending a college football game next weekend with my niece, mom, and sil, and I’m looking at at least it starts at 6pm. But man, I think I’m leaving at halftime. I hate football and I can’t handle being awake that late in public when my meds die for something like that.

My first time running into what appeared to be a book flipper at the library today. I went in to check the book sale area for magazines and any other random books and this guy had a whole scanner set up to his app and he was checking every book!

I spent so much time photographing my maternity clothes and trying to sell them on various apps and sites with either no bites or feeble attempts to buy that I ended up bagging them all up and donating instead or just trying to sell stuff to ThredUp back when it was half decent.

Question for the parents: If your kid has a friend come over but that friend comes from a stricter family than yours (religious strict: doesn't say 'god', apparently doesn't watch much tv, far more rules etc) do you adapt to the kid or is it, well, you came over here...get over it?

Y'all. I just abandoned bell hooks' All About Love. I made it a little over 60% and I just could not hear "Love is as love does" one more time. Also, WAY TOO MUCH religion. That's a 3/5 stars from me.

I love fall but apparently my eyes and brain have decided that they really do not like the angle of the sun this time of year. Had my first migraine with aura in almost two years last week and just a few minutes ago I looked around my office and went...yeah, turning of the lights to preempt smth.

Kiddo made his first cake from scratch last night---well, we did half. We baked the cake. Tonight we will make the frosting and decorate. It's extra credit for his computer/coding class (follow directions, debug etc). We had a lot of fun and he wants to make more! I love to bake so v happy abt this

Full on ADHD over here this morning as I forgot to remind kiddo not to get on bus today because he has a dentist appt but then my husband forgot to put it on his calendar completely when he took him last time so he had no idea it was today. I had been getting reminders and had to do the confirmation
