I joined 400+ legislators reminding the Fifth Circuit that mifepristone has been proven safe and effective, and is a lifeline for millions of people. The majority of Americans support access to medication abortion. It's time to put women's health ahead of politics. www.huffpost.com/entry/legisl...

All pregnant people must be treated with care, including those in police custody or incarcerated, for the health and safety of their newborns and themselves. A person should not be handcuffed or shackled while giving birth. www.cityandstateny.com/opinion/2026...

Opinion: Why does New York shackle women during labor?
The Anti-Shackling bill and CARE Act would ensure we treat all pregnant New Yorkers, including those in police custody or incarcerated, with the care they and their newborns deserve.

Abortion care is health care, whether it is sought by choice or by medical necessity. It is tragic and an outrage, but no surprise, that abortion bans are causing maternal deaths. Access to abortion care should not be based on where a person lives.
