Glad to join the New York State School Boards Association today to discuss the importance of student voices on school boards. In 2024, my legislation was enacted to require school districts to have at least one student ex-officio school board member.

Pleased to participate in NYSUT’s “Unplugged Conference" and to join the panel "How Can State and Local Policy Support Building Human-Centered Schools?"  I was glad to discuss New York’s bell-to-bell restrictions on smartphones and to talk through the benefits and drawbacks of technology in schools.

Pleased to have secured $100,000 in State funding to assist the Scarsdale Police Department in purchasing two new motorcycles and a motorcycle trailer. It is crucial that our local police departments and officers have the necessary resources to respond to emergencies and keep our community safe.
