Gekitan Design Notes Day 09 Dori (the Dreamcast) and Vimo (the VMU) I love this pair of dorks... part of me feels like I can still improve them as I always tend to feel, but for the most part content with how they came out #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Gekitan Design Notes Day 08 Roxy (Nintendo 64) Probably the one that took the longest and most effort to design, I think she's finally taken proper shape... #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Money is scary... I looked to see if my paycheck went in (it did), but bank account had just hit double digits before it went in from all my bills being taken out... scary...

(I'm also realizing most normal people have @ everyones muted on Discord but if you were there last year you know where to check on my server, haha....) How do people socialize......

010

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Okay I sent out invites but if anyone wants to hop in and I think you're cool then you're always welcome to hop in and leave at your leisure (also will possibly play some neat community games like Super Battle Golf / Meccha Chameleon / Jackbox for chat too) Thinking Sunday, 5PM ET, ~9-12 hours~

I should probably start inviting people to hang out and play party games on Sunday huh Social interactions are scary though.......

Gekitan Design Notes Day 07 Virtue (the Virtual Boy) This dorky freak... All I can say is "chuunibyou"... He's "virtually" a boy, whatever that means. (also hey I actually got it done before midnight for once) #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Got PS1 drawn so early that I already started the next one... The most chuuni one of all.... Character design is fun... I want to see if I can make at least two more new designs before the end of this challenge (then one day maybe I'll actually find a use for them..)

Gekitan Design Notes Day 06 Hitomi (the PlayStation) The PS1, one of the designs I'm proud of~ There's minor things I always want to adjust but that's usually the case with any design. #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Gekitan Design Notes Day 05 Sato (the Sega Saturn) I like this design honestly... I constantly debate having tummy out but for now I went with no tummy out~ Maybe she'll get a model 2 outfit someday (US colors are so boring...) #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Gekitan Design Notes Day 04 Sue (the Super Nintendo / Super Famicom) Superstar.... the Super Famicom outfit still needs a lot of work, especially the bottom half, but I feel the camisole is the most important part... #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

The newest Disney anime boy trailer is giving me crumbs of my OTP thank you Vil thank you Cater....... They're even in the first triple banner together with Trey..... The guy who both of them would probably realistically fall for........

Also I just remembered my birthday is a week away now Still no solid plans but will probably stream all day and play games and stuff~ Maybe draw my favorite design that day for the challenge on stream too...

I really do think my autism special interest is character design and honestly I'm okay with that Every little thing needs a purpose and reason and it makes making things like console-tans really fun...

Gekitan Design Notes Day 03 Jen Megan (Or just Jen or Megan IDK), the Sega Genesis, aka Mega Drive~ I'm pretty happy with this design but yeah the add-ons are still tricky for me to figure out how to design. Maybe she can have a Model 2 outfit too... #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Gekitan Design Notes Day 02 Sena (the SG-1000) and Matsuri (the Master System/Mark III) Slightly earlier~ Sena's still a rough design but they're getting there... (I feel they could have a SG-1000 II outfit and Mark III outfit respectively..) #gekitan #consoletan #octoberart

Still no idea how much I'll be able to draw but figured I might as well attempt it, worst case is that only a few get notes, best case, I finally design more Was listening to this while I finished the drawing and felt the need to share because god it's such a banger www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGbM...

Seven minutes to midnight and I haven't even started drawing anything... We shall see...

Still thinking of prompts... Theoretically, I have enough character designs of a certain variety... Maybe I'll just draw them..

It's October.... the best month..... aaaaaa it's October aaaaaaaa I haven't figured out any challenges to do.. (thank you to the people who submitted prompts though~) I guess I still have the rest of today to figure something out..... maybe....

I had to work at my job's sister store today and they're a lot slower with a lot less to do so I spent a little free time doodling my husband and I kinda like how it came out (feat. my work lunch bag)

1100

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I took a three hour nap and woke up feeling like I've been hit by a truck.. every part of me hurts..

Forced to stay at work until 9:30 as per usual, another "awake for well over 24 hours" day, no signs they even did anything to my apartment and I have no bedding again... sleepy nyan is sleepy......

050

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Okay on one hand I haven't been able to sleep and have to stay up now because of bed bug exterminators and work On the other hand, Kuja...... I got all his outfits but the ability gacha barely gave me anything. He's very glass cannon.. weakest character with lowest HP but can become strongest..

051

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Being wagie is suffering and so is now being forced to work two stores in our chain because of dumb nepotism things (the boss' sister is a manager too now so they're sharing me and a coworker between two stores instead of hiring what we need), also long bed bug evacuation day again on Tuesday..

050

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Managed to draw lots of Reiss tonight, though still undecided on a casual outfit for them... They're so fun to draw though... Monday's my only day off this week, so I want to draw a lot, but I should also do a little cleaning too..

Not enough time to draw... Today (yesterday?) was a rough day at work, had poor sleep, an 8 hour shift, and extremely busy working register by myself while trying to juggle a huge truck shipment.. took a three hour nap afterwards but still feel dead Did finish all the Lilla art at leastt

I'm so EoSD brained again.. been listening to the music on random the past few nights while drawing, and this song isn't one I got to be very familiar with (I never unlocked the Extra Stage) but it's so good.. the ~1:37 mark onwards when you fight Patchy... peam.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaEw...

I really like drawing cute scuzzy creatures okay..... messy hair... wrinkled unkempt ill-fitting clothing..... it's the good stuff....

030

Nyrator @nyrator.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Managed to draw more tonighttt, though I ended up just drawing Lilla in different outfits instead of the other three whoops... won't let myself share it until all four are done...... I want to stay up and keep working on it but I have to work early tomorrow...

I forgot Backblaze only backs up 30 days and that I'd have to pay more for permanent cloud storage.. luckily they gave me a two week notice, I almost went with cloud storage option but then in one year it'd cost the same as an external drive so what's the point...
