HUGE WIN: @governor.ny.gov just signed legislation that eliminates the 100-foot rule. This outdated policy let utility companies charge customers for the expansion of the fossil fuel system. With today’s signature, we are one step closer to cleaner heat, lower bills in NY.

NYLPI testified before the NYC Board of Correction, urging them to reject DOC requests allowing continued overcrowding at Rikers. The Board of Correction ultimately denied the requests, a critical step toward justice and dignity for incarcerated New Yorkers.
