As someone who grew up under an authoritarian regime, I can offer one crucial piece of advice: time is everything. If you don’t stand up now—if you don’t protest, resist, disrupt, and refuse to comply—you may lose your country forever. Authoritarianism thrives on silence, hesitation, and fear. The longer people wait, the more entrenched the regime becomes, making resistance exponentially harder. Every moment of inaction is a moment the regime uses to tighten its grip. History has shown that those who act early have the best chance of reclaiming their freedom. The time to fight back is now.

Hey #booksky Kinda bored with trending books on booktok. Seeking obscure gems. Any recs for fave back catalog books that fell under the radar? Here are 2 of mine (by Elizabeth Hand). Beautifully written, sexy, mysterious with a touch of magical realism. I’m sure Wylding Hall inspired Daisy Jones!

Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

With this TikTok ban…I’ve actually learned so much about my data. If it’s not safe for people we don’t know to have our data. I think we should take their word for it….and execute the first AND largest #datastrike in history. Maybe nobody should have our data.

Looking for fellow #tiktokrefugee s! Where are you? Have you signed the official petition to save TikTok? This is the big one. act.rokhanna.com/a/tiktok-ban...

Tell Congress: Don't Ban TikTok.

If Congress truly wants to protect Americans’ private data, banning TikTok is not the solution.
