Lots of assumptions there from many “sources” throughout the window. All of them could be true, all of them could be rubbish. The facts are he has three years left, Newcastle said they wouldn’t entertain selling in May, have shifted it to we’ll sell for £150 and LFC offer £40 million under.

He doesn’t have the blazing speed and runs a little hot and cold like Gordon. Imagine we’d ideally recruit someone that has more consistency. But, with the World Cup coming to North America, wonder if Pulisic pushes to a club that has European football? It’ll be a huge burst to the commercial side

An American so obviously biased (and unnecessarily loud), but is there a chance for Newcastle to look at Pulisic? AC Milan didn’t have the best season, they missed out on Europe, and Serie A clubs usually wobble into financial difficulties. He can play across the front 3 and has EPL experience.

Agree and think we’re squarely in the middle of the second pack of squads hoping for Europe needing reinforcements. Another observation is how poorly our transfers bed into the squad and how long it appears to take for them to get the system and expectations. Wonder if that’s factoring in?

Maybe we’re being proactive in getting rid of squad players and gearing up for the next “phase.” If we needed to rely on Kelly, Trips, Miggy, Longstaff, and Targett for any length of time the season would already be lost? Maybe get rid of them now, while there are offers, and balance the books?

It’s clear he has the instincts as he made the run today to get into the position before fluffing his lines. But, he just looks like a shell of himself off the ball and lacks any connection with those around him in build up play. Fingers crossed he can stay fit and have a good preseason.
