Fantastic! When the media is in the tank for the GOP and moderators cannot be trusted to actually moderate debates and fact check there’s no need to get on a debate stage with a pathological liar like Byron Donalds

What’s funny is for years the complaint was “they don’t assimilate.” Now some brown guys go have fun at a football game and we’re … mad?

As for the PCSA, if the law passes w/o a viable collective bargaining mechanism , it’s both morally wrong & woefully insufficient practically. The quid pro quo for any federally authorized cap on athlete compensation must be an enforceable mechanism allowing athletes to bargain collectively.

If Dave Doreen’s empire to mediocre white football coaches finally crumbles, it will all be worth it, though as a Tar Heel I hope Dave stays forever.

Capping revenue off labor while providing no bargaining mechanism for the athletes is absolutely a restraint on the accumulation of black wealth. Full stop.

Meanwhile, the best writer the league employed was a casualty of poorly thought out cost-cutting measures, so there’s not a great writer(who isn’t still covering the World Cup) to set the table on league tactical trends

The best thing to come out of Trump’s FIFA peace prize is a birthright citizen getting to play a World Cup match despite a red card suspension.

Wild for anyone to think that Infantino and FIFA would need a phone call from Trump to do the corrupt thing that simultaneously could help them make money and further curry favor with a wannbe dictator.

I celebrate it and love my country very much, which is why I feel so compelled to express my sadness, too. And I think of men like Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Joshua Chamberlain, Medgar Evers, John Lewis, Muhammad Ali and many others who saw seeds of greatness and possibility amidst injustice.

Not saying the US will win. But… Belgium are an aging golden generation that isn’t great defensively and the US will be playing in about as good a home field advantage as they could hope to have. No Flo sucks. But if not now, when?

The United States won 2-0 tonight, with goals by a birthright citizen and a German-born dual citizen player. Both young men chose to play for the United States. As a result, Americans will play World Cup soccer after July 4th for the first time ever. What America is all about!

For the third FIFA World Cup in a row I must ask a simple question to people who keep bitching about FOX. Why do you watch on FOX? Are you so wed to the English language and American accents that you must? Telemundo is always an option. If you don't like FOX, don't watch FOX instead of bitching.

Media double-standards are popping up all over the place. The reality is this - the core elite media that works at publications/networks owned by Hedge Funds or Private Equity or some tech bros value access and making "normalcy" out of crises. They will always as a result favor the GOP.

Finally read the Callais opinion. It’s even worse than I thought. Essentially, the Roberts Court permits the states to use race in partisan gerrymandering (because hard to prove it was race, not politics) *unless* the state is doing it to remedy a VRA violation. Upside down 14th Amendment.
