That sounds like Charlie Kirk talking about guns.

Oh look, it's time for #Rocktoberween, season 2. I meant to prepare for it in Sept. and put some thought into it, but well, here we are on Oct. 1. Anyween, it seems mandatory to start this year with a salute to the sweetest transvestite in the greatest movie entrance ever. youtu.be/JWoYy4Ah81s?...

Missed #at40 yesterday (again), so listening to the Sunday broadcast (9/26/70). I did not know the Poppy Family had a second hit.

At mine, people were hugging me that I barely knew in hs. It was a hoot!

It's one of the things I love about these countdowns.

Thank you. He and I had lost touch, but I'm still friends with Barb. I'm sad I didn't get to see him toward the end.

#at40 One of my HS friends has been taking care of her ill brother most of this year, and he died last week. Once in HS the three of us were out cruising, singing Thank God I'm a Country Boy at the top of our lungs. Serendipitous timing for this #1. RIP Tom.

It has lost some of its luster for me thanks to Big Pharma.

TIL that that was a cover.

Yes, they were wonderful, and Randy had some allotted BTO time.

A Very Special Episode -- disappointing. Reunion -- I had some life glitches that made me late, but it was wonderful seeing everyone. Point of clarification: The only thing AVSE and reunion had in common was me; AVSE did not involve someone from my class.

I remember it as awesome, but I don't have a detailed memory. Salient memory is the gear logo all lit up in neon on the stage. (I also saw Randy Bachman this summer reuniting with Burton Cummings as the Guess Who.)

Just realized that a few weeks after this countdown would be A Very Special Episode of my life. (And a year later I would graduate -- my way of saying RHS '76 had our 50th year reunion last week.) #at40

I would see them the following winter.

Let's blitz the ballroom again ...

I repeat ... how can you before coffee? I need coffee before ANYthing else.

110

How can you clean BEFORE coffee?

His mother did him no favors with the haircut in that gif.

Yes, arthritis got my left knee this year, but physical therapy helped a lot and restored some of my optimism. Plus I've often found that hiking has helped it over the years.

030

I haven't hiked there much until recent years when diabetes got me into to hiking for exercise like I used to. I've had to dial it back a bit, but I still hold onto hope of getting up Chocorua, my favorite mountain to see from the highway. That's my most ambitious goal at this stage of life.

Listening today as I contemplate driving up to the White Mountains for the 2nd straight day to try to the "Honor Summit" on Mt. Washington, twin beams of light for 9/11 like they do in Manhattan. Last night it was very faint within a few miles. #at40

The most overplayed movie theme ever, but I still love it.
