Wasn't Oh Well a Fleetwood Mac song?

My favorite "Best of My Love."

It's the Luke & Laura rape song! #at40

I don't remember knowing that John Stewart was in the Kingston Trio. #at40

And that was only my first bachelor's (education). I returned a few years later to get my journalism degree while working at my first newspaper job. #at40

1979, you say #at40? About to enter my first senior semester (of three, 'cause I was a slacker) at UMaine, starting with marching band "camp" on Labor Day weekend.

When is someone going to do a parody song of "Timothy" called "Jimothy"?

What is it good for? #at40 (Wasn't that a Seinfeld bit?)

I can no longer stomach In the Summertime for being classist and misogynist. #at40

I rediscovered Lay a Little Lovin' on Me a few years ago and so glad I did.

1970-ish? Pic looks about right. Anyway, I was about to start 7th grade and rocking the polyester high waters (which I think I got in 6th grade) & blazer at the campground. The old Ford behind us. I'm blanking on the make, but I still remember the license plate behind my knees: 277-024, Maine.

In Amos Moses, I always thought it was: "He'd just knock 'em in the head with a stump." Turns out it's "stomp." #at40

Several dirty 30 songs draw a blank from me. #at40

August '77? The highlight was an eventful Alice Cooper concert (I fainted and got back up just in time to catch a drumstick, then fainted again). In Sept. I'll start my sophomore year at UMaine. #at40

Another Elton song I don't recall. And my brother even had that 8-track. #at40

Oh and I think there was a brief period when it went from 20 to 19 before 21. #at40

Summer '73 after freshman year at the campground. My hometown friend Jacky behind me was up visiting me, and we were visiting another campsite (where a major crush may or may not have been staying). #at40

I was so lucky we stayed at the campground. Pristine lake, swim lessons on the beach. Before then, we had local swim lessons in a small river alongside an animal farm (big Purina logo on the barn), and we had to walk on the yucky ground to get to the water.

Loved this Cornelius Bros back in the day, but now I have objections. #at40

We don't hear enough Grass Roots on #at40. I always pair them with 3DN in my head. Saw a version of them as part of the Monkees reunion tour in the '80s.
