I've been reading Dungeon Crawler Carl recently and oh boy I am so very entertained. ... I can't believe my favorite character is a severed head of a sex doll. Yep. Love you Samantha.

Okay, Spiderlight was… interesting. Some fun spiderthings that made me laugh out loud. The most dysfunctional party of adventurers - most of them were horrible human beings and I was thoroughly scandalized by how they treated our sweet little spidermonster for most of the book.

I ordered a lot of pretty art for my sad, bare rental walls, and now customs is punishing me for it so hard 😭

I ordered some clothes and got them today and was prepared for the usual disappointment and nothing looking good on me BUT everything fits and looks nice? How?? This never happens 😭

My Emily Wilde collection is now complete 💚 And what beautiful books they are! This is a very feel-good series for me, so peaceful and comforting. I adore Emily as a character, and the fairy lore is so interesting. The balance between romance, plot, and character moments is just perfect.

I love enemies-to-friends -trope so much. I'm always raging when the enemy is the most awful person on earth and then in the end the protag doesn't even befriend them, what kind of bad writing is that!! I need my villain redemption arcs

I got my own copy of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow so I can finally blog about it a little💜 It's such a beautiful book that has the perfect taste of nostalgia and youth and life. All characters feel like actual flawed human beings with their own complicated feelings and relationships.

I have an excel sheet that has all the series I'm in the middle of reading & all the upcoming books I want to read and their publication dates and for some reason looking at it and updating it makes me ridiculously happy Excel sheets are fun ☺️

Wow, Better Man was beautiful. One of the most visually impressive movies I've ever seen. (also, just, hear me out here - that was one really attractive monkey...)

I read Iron Widow a couple weeks ago and just finished Heavenly Tyrant! And well well well, this was an interesting pair of books for sure. (so I obviously needed to buy the pretty editions, look at them, so vivid!)

Me: maybe I should buy less books Also me: quietly buys more books

I rarely buy middle grade books (since I'm not exactly their target audience anymore, it's just that their covers are often so beautiful and colorful and tempting) but The Pumpkin Princess and the Forever Night just called to me. I mean look at that cover!!

Nuut @nuut.bsky.social · 09/02/2025

I read Harrow the Ninth and oh boy was it a journey. It's quite difficult to talk about it without spoiling Gideon so I feel like I can't really say much about the plot, but it was VERY different from the first book. Harrow, my sweet wife, is so all kinds of messed up. I love it.

I'm trying to draw again some old character concepts and it's kinda funny when almost everyone turns out as pretty anime girls and boys AND THEN there is that one character whose whole thing is to be the pretty and trendy one and ofc she just looks like a monstrous potato frog no matter what

I’ve been getting so damaged books from the library recently, the previous one had actual loose pages and it was terrifying to read and try to keep them all in and the current one I just started reading has it’s spine completely torn off 🙃 Let me have my book order and those new pristine books soon

Should I spend too much money to buy a sword or a bunch of silly plushies Truly one of the most difficult questions I have encountered in my adult life, both are necessities for my well-being 😔

I've been just marinating in gloom and melancholy for the past few days but this morning I went to the gym at 7AM and now I'm just a jolly ball of energy ... I've really become this type of human being

The Interstellar First Aid Unit / Making the galaxy a better place one star at a time!

An astronaut-paramedic and her first aid kit -robot are crouched on the surface of the moon, a little injured (but bandaged!) star in front of them. Behind them is the Ursa Minor constellation that is missing one star.

Protesting everything (at the end of the world)

A boy is holding a traffic sign that says "NO" above his head and is surrounded by STOP-signs and banners with texts like "I can't" and "Nope". He stands in a pile of rocks and ruins, and has his dark shiba with him.

silly little witch concept

Character concept for a bone witch and her skeleton cat.
She collects teeth (milky teeth and children's teeth are the best, since cavities ruin the magic). She practices grave robbing, funeral crashing and identity theft (poor dentists and Tooth Fairy). Her horns crack and get cavities when she eats too much sugar.

Though I actually do have one (1) fully finished witchy comic chapter I never posted anywhere that has many silly drawings ..and so many lines about peeing (write what you know etc)

It would be nice to get into posting art again but I've been just the laziest artist for the longest time (it's been a stressful year) And once you get used to not-posting it feels very difficult to start existing again

Time to post some old art I still like! 'After' from 2019

An angel is standing in an abandoned hospital room. There is an old wheelchair in front of him. The window is broken and cracks show a small slice of a blue sky, and some cherry tree branches are growing through the window.

I got 4 pages of a comic done, stared at it for two weeks and decided that nah this isn’t what I wanted to make and I don't really like these character designs anymore And then I started over Why am I like this Some day I will post art again

010

Nuut @nuut.bsky.social · 30/10/2023

I spent most of the weekend sketching all pages for the comic I’ve been planning and now there is a good chance I might actually finish it!! (okay that sounded way more impressive than it actually is, there is only 4 pages so)
