Right! Definitely fell into the shonen curse of “we need to add more characters and subplots or the reader will get bored”. I honestly wonder if it was editor intervention because it really felt like such a different direction than how thoughtful and quiet it was at first.

I don’t have a cat but I have friends who do, and my other non-cat-owner friend and I take pics of the friend group cats and lovingly show them off to everyone. So yeah it’s kind of what I imagine the ouran host club guys are like as “uncles”.

Would love to pick your brain sometime about dpi because I constantly feel like I’m getting different answers everywhere— like, why does my publisher want 300 dpi but other cartoonists recommend 600 dpi (at least)? What’s the best way to downsize it for the pub? Bitmap it?

I also noticed at flamecon that prints sold WAY less across the board (and my biggest seller was the fanzines). NYC is a different crowd than Milwaukee ofc but books! the people want books I believe it!!

This plus a Procreate brush input glitch that I’ve wrestled with FOREVER is making me feel like it’s time to move to the CSP + Cintiq combo. It’s probably such a bad idea to try to learn a new program in the middle of inking a GN but what am I supposed to do!!!
