[CW Blood] So excited to share my piece for the 2025 MDZS Big Bang! 🌟 I got to create art for "Suspended in Dusk", an mdzs zombie apocalypse au by the lovely @melllloncollie.bsky.social!! Please give it a read below :^D

The composition is split between two scenes, split between grey smoke. On the top half, Wei Wuxian stands with his arm outstreched-black veins sprouting from his arms to his neck and face. He is concentrated on trying to control the resentment in Wen Ning. Lan Wangji looks to him, concerned. Jiang Cheng comforts a weeping Wen Qing, looking at Wei Wuxian with a shocked expression.
Beneath the smoke, a presumed dead Wen Ning is laying. His shoulder is exposed, with wounds and a prominent bite mark. His hair is splayed out on the ground.

Rainy Bubble Tea ☔️🦡🧋 #art

A digital illustration of a badger behind a bubble tea stand. He’s hold a bubble tea to give to a customer. There are four customers in front of him: a squirrel holding an umbrella, two bunnies in raincoats and one mouse holding a blue umbrella. We can see a fox enjoying a sip of bubble tea on the left side while her hedgehog friend is also enjoying the bubble tea. The illustration is set under a cozy rainy day.

Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you: Our funding depends on usage. So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

What the Lan Wangji quote 未知全貌不予置评 really means ⚖️ Commonly translated as “do not comment before knowing the full story” ⚖️ Because I’ve just seen this quote egregiously misused ⚖️ Angrily emerging from my meta seclusion to write this

My entry for the MdzsRBB !! with my awesome writer @murmurcury.bsky.social 🤍 🚿 A grieving Wei Wuxian who yearns for intimacy in his new relationship, wanting to take the jump and show every part of himself and still be loved. 🛁🔗 archiveofourown.org/works/67160200 #魔道祖师 #MDZS #wangxian #fanart

Illustration of wangxian by nekiwis. Wei Wuxian is sitting inside a bathtub, arms crossed lazily and with his head down, Lan Wangji sitting right behind him is holding part of Wei Wuxian's hair with one hand and a razor machine in the other. The illustration has warm and cozy colors, the bathroom has details like red and blue bunnies painted on the tiles and a pair of pots with plants.

an illustration of modern au wangxian. wwx has an electrical guitar on his left hand and his right hand is on lwj's waist, grinning at lwj. Lwj is casually resting his arm on the guqin, his other arm around wwx's waist. He is wearing pale blue jeans, fluffy white headband, hair in braid and nothing else. His top surgery scars can be seen clearly. Both of them are partially shadowed by bright rainbow-coloured smoke rising from somewhere behind them, filling the frame with technicolor.

I saw an infographic a couple years ago about how to remove source identifiers from links and why it's important, but I can't find it again and too many people I know are sending me links with them so here's an infographic straight from the oven

Header text: "HEY YOU! YES YOU! TAKE THIS SHIT OUT OF LINKS!"

This is followed by a couple example urls, with a red square highlighting the sections with source identifiers. The rest of the text is as follows:

Source identifiers are used to track your activity on a site. Where you came from, what device you use, and even who you talk to. Whether it's written clearly in the url or tied to a random string of characters, it's assigned to your activity.

When you send a link containing a source identifier to somebody and they click it, it signals to the website that you two are connected. And that data goes right back to the website operators, and thus their advertisers.

Whenever you select "share" or "copy link" on a social app or website, it creates a link like this. If you give even the smallest shit about online privacy, it's important to remove them. Everything after the "?" symbol can be removed without issue, especially sections starting with "si=" or "utm_source="

*climbs onto desk and yells into cupped hands* I LOVE PUBLIC LIBRARIES!!!!!!!

Quote from Kurt Vonnegut that reads: “While on the subject of burning books, I want to congratulate librarians, not famous for their physical strength, their powerful political connections or great wealth, who, all over this country, have staunchly resisted anti-democratic bullies…The America I loved still exists, if not in the White House, the Supreme Court, the Senate, the House of Representatives, or the media. The America I loved still exists at the front desks of our public libraries.”

A world without Trans people has never existed, and it never will. More than visibility, we need safety 🏳️‍⚧️

Portait of a woman covered in sludge. Only her arms are uncovered. But within the sludge, her face and body are partially visible, revealing a floral pattern on her face and body, pink and white flowers on blue background. This is a repaint of an illustration I did a decade ago. In the original there in equal sign superimposed at the bottom of the canvas. The equal sign is still there, but it is empty now.

At least one of them is self aware ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #svsss | #cumplane

A two panel comic depicting Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu from The Scum Villain’s Self Saving System (SVSSS). In the first panel, Shang Qinghua is speaking animatedly with his hands to SQQ, stating “What can I say, bro? My type is pretty and mean.” In the second panel, SQQ rebukes him, covering part of his face with his fan in disdain, stating “Just Mobei-Jun doesn’t count, you absolute hack. Who else in your life even meets that description, huh?”

The last part to the comic, a chibi SQH stares at SQQ with dead eyes, clearly tired of SQQ’s lack of self awareness. SQQ, for his part, simply looks confusedly at SQH, asking “Why are you looking at me like that?”

This is how. Greta Thunberg spits fire and gives you the only media training you may ever need.

Reporter: How did the Israelis treat you, we saw them giving sandwiches?
Greta Thunberg: They probably have posted lots of PR stunts, they did an illegal act by kidnapping us in international waters but that’s not the real story here. The real story is the genocide in Gaza and systematic starvation.
Reporter: Are you worried about the others?
Greta: Yes…I’m calling for everyone who can to mobilize to demand their immediate release and, of course, to demand not only humanitarian aid being let into Gaza but also a ceasefire and most importantly an end to the occupation, an end to the systemic oppression and violence that Palestinians are facing on an everyday basis.
Reporter: “Why do you think so many countries and governments around the world are just ignoring what’s happening in Gaza?”
Greta Thunberg: “Because of racism.”

This is the funniest science writeup I've seen in a long time. It's about why cats are so perfectly evolved 🧪 Apparently lots of other animals have "tried to be cats" and the fact that other species have so much more variation is "because they suck" 😆 www.scientificamerican.com/article/cats...

Cats challenge standard biases in evolutionary biology. People have said to me, “What about bats? What about rodents? These groups have so many species doing all kinds of things.” And I'm like, “Yeah, because they suck.” They haven't figured out how to do anything well, so they keep trying different things.

Some fem!3zun just cos I wanted to~ #mdzs | #3zun

A digital drawing depicting fem!Nie Mingjue, fem!Jin Guangyao, and fem!Lan Xichen from Mo Dao Zu Shi. NMJ stands in the center, glancing at JGY doubtfully as JGY grabs her forearm. LXC stands on the other side of NMJ, smiling happily.

Though most of them look very similar to their canon counterparts, fem JGY’s design varies the most, wearing her hair half up half down in a bun, a braid moving from her temple to the bun in the back. The bun is held in place by four gold hairpins, and her hairstyle is very reminiscent of Meng Shi’s.
