Ann, the issue is nothing to do with council tax or local authorities.
It's about HMRC. Stamp duty, capital gains etc. (as per the article)
Anyhow, what's done is done, eh? I'll just get back in my 'greedy' box.
Fwiw, council tax is charged as normal to our occupants.
