The excuse I went on to hear is that Trump made Christmas Eve a national holiday along with the 26th. Christmas eve was NEVER a holiday before, and that action has undoubtedly fouled up the scheduling for the SSA.

Yeah I know this for a damn fact. I collect both SSI and SSDI, and my December 2025 payments never came. SSI was supposed to clear and be direct deposited into my account December 24th with the disability paying out the 29th. Its been two weeks, no money at all. Had to borrow to pay my rent.

A major aspect as to why things got as bad as it has in the USA has to be the creationist movement. The movement bleeds into everything else that the right loves from faith healing televangelist scams, climate change denialism, medical denialism, the anti-abortion movement, among other things.
