Our newly created bigger pond is visited by foxes every evening for a drink. Lovely

Good evening #GardensHour. Enjoying all the late colour in the garden this year. Pictures taken today. Hoping to plant bulbs but the ground is hard and dry. Still very little rain in Devon, I'm still watering 🙄. Fingers crossed for this week. #FlowerReport #BloomScrolling

Looking back on September the 'high' has definitely been the roses. This is DA Princess Alexandra of Kent, on her 3rd showing. The blooms are a good size and the scent is wonderful #GardensHour #BloomScrolling #FlowerReport 🌱

#GardensHour Had a good chilli harvest this year. Currently drying them before blitzing for a bit in a nutribullet then bottling as chilli flakes which will last for the next year with some to give away. Variety De Cayenne. #gardening 🌱

Pondside, this has been quite a rewarding part of my garden this summer , lots of flowers and some great close encounters with wildlife and I've thought up some improvements in the planting for next year 🌱 #GardensHour #wildlife #gardening #bloomscrolling

A view of my pond with dianthus, fleabane and echinacea around the edge and plant including water mint, mare's tail and miniature typhus.

This was taken as a cutting from my big gollum jade plant about 18 months ago, it's developed a decent trunk and pleasing branching structure so I thought I'd pot it up like a bonsai 🌱🌵🪴 #PlantSky #Succulents #Houseplants #GardensHour #GardenersWorld

Not my pic, because I didn’t have my phone on me…. But discovered so many sloes on my dog walk on Saturday. Feel compelled to pick some - when is a good time? I know berries seem to be early this year with the weather, does that apply to sloes too? #GardensHour
