In my burg - both on the same lovely stroad within a mile of one another. Due to an unforgiving economy seeing an uptick in pedestrians and micro-mobility on infrastructure designed almost exclusively for automobiles.

View from an arterial road at a closely-parallel residential street with a ~1m high iron fence separating their respective sidewalks; closest access to the arterial road requires a several-hundred meter detour. There's an elementary school directly across the arterial from this perspective which neighborhood children surely attend. This is depressingly common across the DFW area.

Access to this shopping center requires walking along the unpleasant arterial street and crossing driveways and into vehicle lanes not well-designed for pedestrians - as such motorists are unaccustomed to seeing them. This situation abounds across the DFW area - hard walls or fences along the perimeter of retail funneling pedestrian access to corners and making walking/riding routes along residential streets (when they route predictable) infeasible.

That liftout in the middle right? Material is warped. The vertical sections (lower left quadrant) have bowing that prevents proper engagement with the 'framing' that makes up the flanges the filters fit against. Will fit it together but doubt it will cooperate.

I am OVER this stupid bike lane. I don’t know who thought it would be a swell idea to put literal BOULDERS so we can “prevent” hitting bikers. Was the paint job not enough??
