I’ve had carpal tunnel in both paws for a few weeks and it’s driving me crazy. EVERYTHING I want to do involves my hands, and every time I try to do one of them it worsens the condition. I wanna do things!!!

I’m on the DC mall with the in-laws doing tourist things, and I have seen exactly 1 MAGA hat. In the last 10 years I’ve always seen tons and tons of them downtown, especially on a busy holiday weekend. I have NEVER seen such an absence of them, and it is lovely.

I’m finally learning the Jaco Pastorius version of Donna Lee, which is kind of a right of passage for bass guitar players. Learning the notes is the easy part (though not that easy). Playing fast with the right feel and articulation is what makes it hard!

I had jury duty selection today but was ultimately not chosen for a trial. Part of me is very glad I don’t have to deal with missing a week of work, but part of me was interested in going through the process of being a juror.

I’ve been very fortunate to have known trans people for most of my life. I grew up with a trans friend, my college thesis advisor was trans, and I have watched several good friends go through that journey of self-discovery. My life is so much richer having known so many trans folks <3

My project manager completely disregarded the (very good) work one of my more junior colleagues me did on a project, which understandably left the jr. staff person very upset. I offered to speak to the project manager on her behalf, and she accepted the help
