Happy Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🤎🖤 this piece was made for a local organization that supports LGBTQIA2+ youth. Stay safe and seek out the joy! How to support LGBTQIA2+ youth during Pride month and beyond: www.glsen.org/blog/6-thing... #protecttranskids #lgbtqrightsarehumanrights #transrightsarehumanrights
A miniature, handmade diorama of a room labeled “A Couch Space — May 2023”. The piece was made for a local LGBTQIA2+ youth center. The room contains three couches decorated with various pillows and blankets; one blanket looks like the progress flag, which nods to a handmade quilt that was also donated to the youth center. There is a black and grey, fuzzy rug in the middle of the couches. There are three different end tables containing items like potted plants, stickers, a candy bowl, and a box of tissues. On the far right there is a set of cube storage drawers with a fish tank on top of it. Next to that is a bookshelf, and a tv is mounted on the wall above them both. The walls are covered in colorful posters and artwork, including a mural made by youth attendees. One sign reads “love” in rainbow letters. Other details include lamps, more plants, and a folding chair.

I love to hide little Easter eggs in my builds, so I had a blast putting this one together last year! 🍔 #bobsburgers #handmademiniature #miniatureartist #diorama #lgbtqartist #queerartist
A photo of a handmade diorama representing Bob’s restaurant in the show Bob’s Burgers. The photo is focusing on a bright yellow bar counter lined with red bar stools. On the bar are ketchup and mustard bottles, napkin dispensers, and a plate with burger and fries. Beyond the bar is a blue counter decorated with a cash register, dish tubs, an ice cream machine, a sink, and a coffee maker. There are also smaller details like composition notebooks, a Kuchi Kopi toy, and a shoebox labeled “Jeff”. The back wall has a window that would lead to the kitchen. On its ledge is another plate of food, order tickets, and bell. The back wall also has a chalkboard with “Baby you can chive my car burger” written on it, a framed photo of winged burgers, and shelves of dish ware and miscellaneous bottles. An aerial view of the scene, now showing the foreground. There are three yellow tables with red booths. They all have ketchup/mustard bottles and a napkin dispenser. The table on the far right also has two menus sitting on it. The table on the far left has a blue keyboard, famously played by Gene, sitting on it. There is a real penny sitting on the floor of the scene, helping to highlight the scale of the build. For instance, the penny is slightly wider than the booth seats.Another view of the diorama, again focused on the yellow bar and blue counter. Some smaller details they can now be seen are a “Cash Only” sign on the wall, a dishrag, and a paper towel dispenser. It also shows a clearer view of the the tiny dish ware, some of them only millimeters big.

I used to be in a Miniature Trading group. Our last prompt was to design a scene and a readable book based around our partner’s favorite fairy tale. The featured artwork is my own. #miniaturebook #handmademiniature #miniatureartist #lgbtqartist #queerartist #threekittens

I cannot express what an honor it was to share a piece of my art with my favorite musical artist! If y’all aren’t listening to Corook, go check them out!! ❤️ #corook #handmademiniature #lgbtqartist #queerartist #theythemenergy
A person with shoulder-length red hair, wearing a purple hoodie, black pants, purple crocs, and a blue hat is smiling widely and holding up a miniature (Corook). They also have their arm around a person with short, light brown hair wearing a blue vest, a white shirt, and black pants, who is also smiling (original poster). The photo features a green, glittery, hexagonal shadow box. The shadow box has 4 shelves filled with various, handmade items that nod to songs written by Corook. Some of the items include a snow globe with a ballerina inside, a microphone, a nonbinary pride flag, Corook’s albums/CD’s, a book entitled “If I Were a Fish”, a fish tank, a bowl of lemons, blankets, and a coffee mug that says “Hell Yeah”.

Good enough to eat 😋 #miniatureart #handmadejewelry #miniatureartist #lgbtqartist #miniaturefood
A hand holds up a white necklace-holder card which is displaying a charcuterie tray necklace. The pendant is a round, wooden circular tray. Inside the tray are tiny charcuterie items, hand sculpted from polymer clay. There are two different kinds of crackers, four cheeses including blue cheese and Brie, slices of cured meats, and green olives arranged inside the tray. The hardware and chain of the necklace is gold. A hand is holding a pair of Christmas cookie themed earrings against a white background. There is a silver earring hook and hanging below that is a miniature, circular cookie decorated to look like a green wreath. Hanging below the wreath cookie is a small metal tray with three other cookies—one round with red and gold icing, one round with multicolored icing (red, white, green, and gold), and one that is shaped and decorated like a candy cane. All of the cookies were hand sculpted from polymer clay and decorated with paints. The photo shows a necklace featuring a small, silver tray which has six sticky buns inside. The buns appear to be spiraled dough with a dusting of cinnamon, and a caramel glaze. They are actually handmade from polymer clay. The necklace has a silver chain and is displayed against a light brown and white striped background.

Like a choir sustaining a note for an unfathomable amount of time or penguins surviving brutal temperatures by rotating so all members get the chance to warm up, we can and WILL continue on. Lean on and support one another. Rest when you need to. Rejoin when you are able. Keep leading with love ❤️

“I am running away from my responsibilities, and it feels good.” —Michael Scott #diorama #miniatureart #handmademiniature #theoffice #theofficeus
A zoomed in photo of a miniature diorama, giving the impression that one is standing in the room. The diorama is of Michael Scott’s office from The Office TV show. In the foreground is Michael’s desk, on which there is a Dundee Award, a Best Boss mug, and a Newton’s cradle toy, among other office items. To the left is a bookshelf with binders and file boxes. The walls are a light green and are decorated with a map of Scranton, PA and two framed certificates. Also in the background are a potted plant, a window with blinds, and a wooden storage cabinet. The carpet is blue-grey. A zoomed out photo of the diorama of Michael Scott’s office. There is a dime sitting on the carpet, helping to show off the size and scale of the piece. The piece is made in 1:24 scale meaning 1 inch represents 2 feet in real life. This photo is taken from the side of the diorama of Michael Scott’s office. From this angle, a computer monitor covered in sticky notes, a keyboard, a pencil cup, and files are all visible on the desk. On the far wall, to the left of the map, is Pam’s watercolor painting of the office building.

Thinking about gay pirates and still mourning the loss of season 3 🏴‍☠️ #miniatureart #diorama #shadowbox #ofmd
A square shadow box designed to look like a bookshelf. The shelves are filled with different books, candles, scrolls, shells, and some nautical-themed items (anchor & ship’s wheel). In the middle of the piece is a miniature version of a flag showing a black cat licking its paw. There is also a heart with E+S carved in the wood in the top left corner. The flag and the carved initials are referencing the show Our Flag Means Death.A hand is holding a micro miniature shadow box, measuring roughly one inch high and two inches across. The box has tiny wood paneling and rafters, giving the appearance of a ship’s hull. There are crates, barrels, sacks, and bottles stacked in the corners. There is a net hanging in the top right corner and an old fashioned anchor strung from the rafters. There is also a lute, a large red book, and a piece of cloth with a heart and the initials E+S. These are all nods to the show Our Flag Means Death.

A micro mini dollhouse, measuring approximately 2.5” x 2.5” 🤏 #miniatureartist #handmademiniature #diorama #dollhouseminiatures
A selection of tiny, handmade furniture items stand in front of a very small dollhouse, measuring approximately 2.5 by 2.5 inches. The furniture items include a bookcase, a potted plant, a chair, a Christmas tree, a table, a rug, and wall art. The dollhouse behind is empty. It is two stories, with two rooms on the bottom floor, and one full room and a patio on the second floor. There is also a ladder leading up to a small attic. A very tiny, handmade dollhouse and furniture (1:144 scale). In this scale, one inch represents 12 feet! On the bottom floor there are two rooms, one with a window, lace curtain, and table. The other room contains a rug, a potted plant, and stairs going up to the second floor. In the upstairs room there is a chair and a ladder leading up to the attic. Other details include a patio with a railing, ceiling lights, windows with lace curtains, and bushes peeking out at the sides of the house. All items are handmade.

One of my favorite things to do is to repurpose something that might otherwise end up in the landfill. I recently used a (clean) decorative Halloween food pick to make a microphone. 🎤 #miniatureartist #miniatureart #art #trashtotreasure
The image shows a hand holding two black pieces of plastic. Both are from a Halloween food pick and one has a witch’s boot on top. They are set against a white background. A hand is holding a very small, handmade microphone. The base of the microphone is made from the black plastic from the food pick. The microphone also has a fuzzy orange top. The microphone is being held between the artist’s thumb and forefinger, and the microphone is about a half inch in length.

Now feels like a good time to share a piece I put together last year. It is the first in a series I call my “Angry Art”. It served as a venue for me to cope with grief and anger over senseless tragedies. As you view it, I invite you to remember those who didn’t get the chance to die from old age.
The image shows a miniature diorama of a graveyard. In the foreground are crumbling headstones, Pride flags next to headstones, and worn signs saying things like “We keep fighting”, “We remember you”, “We love you”, and “Kids over guns”. In the background, beyond a picket fence there is a glimpse at another graveyard that appears to be much more well-tended with green grass, a pond, and flowers. The diorama is 1:24 scale, meaning 1 inch in the diorama equates to 2 feet in real life. The image shows a miniature diorama of a graveyard with uniform, white headstones placed in neat lines. On one headstone, the message “Old Age” can be seen. There are flowers dotting the graveyard and bouquets of flowers placed in front of some headstones. Beyond the headstones is a wooden staircase leading up a small hill to a pond with a wooden bench beside it. There is a white picket fence behind the pond beyond that there is a slight glimpse of another part of the graveyard with yellowing grass. The diorama is 1:24 scale, meaning 1 inch in the diorama equates to 2 feet in real life. The photo is an aerial shot of the miniature diorama. On the bottom right hand side is the rundown, hidden graveyard. There are weeds growing and trash scattered. There is a picket fence that roughly divides the diorama in half, along a diagonal. The grass starts to get greener around and beyond the fence. In the top portion of the image there is the cleaner graveyard with neat rows of headstones. In the top left hand corner is the pond on the nicer side of the graveyard. Seeing them from above highlights the contrasts between the two graveyards (green versus yellowing grass, neat versus unstructured, flowers versus weeds, etc). A close-up shot of some of the headstones in the hidden, forgotten graveyard. Messages like “Shot”, “COVID”, “DV” (domestic violence), and “Hate” are carved into some of the headstones, implying that these were the causes of death. The trans flag is draped over one headstone while a pride flag lays beside another.

Hey Bluesky, I make miniatures and I have two cats. They’re among the few things keeping me (somewhat) sane right now. How about you?
A black and white tuxedo cat is sitting behind a handmade, miniature diorama of Michael Scott’s office. The photo is taken from the level of the diorama, with the cats torso and head visible over the walls, making it appear large and looming.
