A sort of proof-of-concept for slappin' characters on other characters in cutscenes, featuring Joker punting a Namazu! It's imperfect (he got a bit squished to match Lyse's animation skeleton) but the potential is there...!

I had Ren as 16 at the very start of P5, turns 17 in that year’s July (on the day of Akechi’s most memetic mistake, no less!) Then 2 years pass after that when the fic starts, making him 19 In ARR! Time’s been a bit wobbly for him, but I plan on ARR - EW to take 2.5 - 3 years or so. :) #wolqotd

Also, for the free day / end of #wolgrahaweek2026, I thought I'd do a bit of a saucy gpose! ...But, uh, then my internet died and took everything with it except one crusty, half-done screenshot. So I went and painted over it!! Fun bathtub times.

2123

Nshi (P5 x FFXIV fanfic!) @nshi-ao3.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

#wolqotd Joker’s faerie is literally Statice. Yeah, that one! He picked her up after she tried to rob him at gunpoint. And of course he liked that. Kind if a reverse of his first ever hold up…

150

Nshi (P5 x FFXIV fanfic!) @nshi-ao3.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

#wolqotd As far as I’ve written (currently in the post-HW patches): -Haurchefant (twice, rip to a real one) -An il-advised thing with Sidurgu that they both regret

210

Nshi (P5 x FFXIV fanfic!) @nshi-ao3.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

#wolqotd I did do some silly drawings of the classic "character gets magicked back into a kid" scenario! I imagine the Scions would be quite surprised when, instead of a feisty, snarky young lad like they were expecting, they get a shy, quiet boy who's extremely (excessively?) polite.

181

Nshi (P5 x FFXIV fanfic!) @nshi-ao3.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

#wolqotd Probably this one! I should draw WoL Joker with this palette…

000

Nshi (P5 x FFXIV fanfic!) @nshi-ao3.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

#wolqotd Haurchefant’s death hits Ren hard, and, given that Arsène’s actively reverting into a Shadow at this point, he doesn’t take Alphinaud’s attempts at consolation well. :’D Instant regret!! And, um, a P4-style ‘I’ll Face Myself’ scene in the next chapter. Ow.
