to be a trans person is to be consistently told you don't deserve to live by every facet of society, and then when people inevitably die by suicide, society uses the suicide rate of trans people as a cudgel to say discrimination against trans people should be made even more severe/extreme

if you were to take out the microtonality of the song, if you were to smooth over the gap and have the machine be more human and make it more "normal" of a relationship, it would defeat the entire point of loving a machine:

like, the distance in the dynamic between a robot x human (or anthro perhaps) falling in love is actually THE POINT; the microtonality is what makes the song special. there IS distance/a gap between humans and machines, but that's what makes the dynamic between the two so beautiful in a way.

ive been listening to patricia taxxons spiral staircase a lot again recently a while ago i saw the microtonality like an irreconcilable gap that the two just work around, the obstacles and distance of a human loving a machine. but the more i listen to it i realize that gap is the actual goal??

in america, realistically, corporations ARE the state. corporations have total influence over the government and can basically push whatever legislation they want through lobbying and bribery, the idea that there's even any disconnection between the two is laughable
