SCOTUS has a definitely overly partisan and likely racist majority. Sadly, there's nothing we can do about that anytime soon. But, what the gutting of the Voting Rights Act calls for is for Congress to step in, which it can under the Constitution, and prohibit partisan gerrymandering.
