*Shrug* I got my AC reg like the week before (Obv. Survivorship Bias). It's never make-or-break financially, to me it's the frugality of not being able to go last minute. Hospitalization, unscheduled exams, etc. It's happened before.

I'd definitely never get day-of reg unless I like, lived in the city that's hosting it. Valid critique all around. I will wait till like, the month before... My FOMO is way less strong than my desire to put a charge on "next month's" credit card statement, for better or worse. X>

Con reg is low-key the one thing that's normally near impossible to refund, if there's something that suddenly stops my ability to attend, I can always cancel my hotel and travel plans... Reg money is lost forever

I didn’t think I’d be wading through sewer water at 5am to grab my car keys but here we are. Everything is gone. It’s a total loss. @shrugsyolo.bsky.social lost a lot of her fursuit supplies. I lost most of what I brought up to Canada. We are buying a house soon but loosing our space sucks.
