My latest article is live! In it, I take on the "LGB without the TQ" movement, call out trans erasure, its role in the ongoing trans genocide, name names, and a message to my community. Please repost for visibility. This one is important to me 🏳️‍⚧️💙🏳️‍⚧️💙🏳️‍⚧️ www.transvitae.com/confronting-...

How about you give money to direct aid to keep your neighbors alive? Honestly sickening that genocidal actions are being taken against disabled, trans, and undocumented people, and instead of rendering aid you’re fretting about keeping your wealth intact.

Ok, thanks. Hope she’s ok and being housed in humane conditions. Would you mind passing on a request for contact from someone who’s organizing on this topic? If yes, would need to continue on dm or encrypted. Also ok if the relationship is too tangential to ask.

Possible to DM about this? Don’t want identifying details but info sharing about how the process is working now would be helpful to a lot of folks.

I called both of my senators today and gave money to a trans person who needs it. I wish I could do so much more

Yes, and accusing a publication of poor fact checking when in reality the bulk of what you’re talking about is topics that you think merit furhter exploration is irresponsible. If you want this written about, then write about it and don’t attack people who are doing the work.

Again, this is another important topic, but this is not the focus of the article. If you would like to write on the topic of how Canada has been tightening asylum please do as it needs to be heard.

Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
Again, this is not a matter of fact checking. This is more on the topic of passport confiscation which also the N*zis did and being real is a standard tool of oppression for nation states. This is a related topic and crucial for another article but not a misrepresentation of facts.

what you’re calling untrue is actually the article not having additional information that you would like publicized but is not necessary to the piece. What you’re asking for—which is an exhaustive discussion about possible remedies legal and otherwise—is another article.

No need for apologies. It sucks that some people act like this, but am glad it showed that under minimization is often hatred.

This person is minimizing what actual trans people are saying—and verified reports in mainstream media—about the confiscations of trans people’s passports in federal offices. When called on to stop and to donate to direct aid for trans people, she is lashing out rather than rendering aid.

This person is deliberately denying the forced internment of trans people in the U.S.—despite verified reports that trans people have had their passports confiscated at federal officces—and is lashing out when called on to stop and to donate to direct aid orgs.

READ THE ARTICLE! And do it before minimizing when trans people say they’re being forcibly interned. If you’re minimizing this when trans people are calling for help, you are part of the problem. Go donate to a direct aid org rather than saying there’s no problem. www.thecanary.co/global/world...

US officials are now taking away passports - denying trans people the ability to flee worsening conditions in the country

Brilliant. I thought rainbow refugee wasn’t working with trans U.S. citizens, though that might be rainbow railroad. My mistake. And thanks for the link on the law firm. Do you know anyone stateside who’s also preparing people (I know the law is in Canada but cross-border coordination never hurts)?

Great. Will look for the threads. Seems like someone (not you, you’re already doing a lot) finding a way to make this info more SEO friendly would help as searches haven’t brought this up. If it’s not much labor, do you have an org name to which folks can be directed, or something similar?

Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
Great. Thanks for your work. Do you have these readily available for the trans folks who urgently need them? Maybe a holder website or a contact? Competent legal support urgently needed as US NGOs are overwhelmed and non-specialist in this. Thanks!

And saying that they can without further information about how to do this safely is also unhelpful. Since you educate on this, can you give real resources for how someone who wants to do this can find legal support, financial support, and social support to ensure that they can attempt this safely?

people they can claim asylum in Canada it’s with the big caveat that so far no one has been successful—and attempting without legal support could foreclose on that option in future. And if you’re a committed ally you’d help them find that legal support and maybe give them a few bucks for the trip.
110
Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
Yes, anyone can theoretically claim asylum, but so far no U.S. trans person has been granted it. The one U.S. trans woman who tried had her case overturned on a federal level and is still waiting appeals. And if someone’s asylum case fails, they can’t claim it again. So if you’re going to tell

Anyone else reading this, take note that under that veneer of liberal allyship from someone who didn’t vote for this but won’t lift a finger to help you and will gaslight you for naming your persecution, is just a bigot who will throw you under the bus in a second. Also, reported for hate speech.

forced restriction of movement by a state for discriminatory or political reasons is the definition of interment. it’s a human rights violation under the u.n. universal declaration of human rights. if you’re minimising this and invalidating what trans people are saying, you’re part of the problem.

Also if you know if EU NGOs and/or private attorneys who have worked in this specific area i.e. asylum for trans people from ‘safe countries’ would also be very helpful. Thanks!

Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
Thanks. Do you know of anyone who has done this successfully in EU from the US or other ‘safe countries’? Rynn Willgohs, the founder of TRANSport tried in Finland, but tragically completed sucide before her hearing. If you know of anyone else who has tried or been successful would be very helpful.

Also, if you had bothered to read the article you’d know ACTUAL TRANS PEOPLE being targeted are calling out those who avoid rendering aid themselves by saying solutions within the system exist. They do not. So help people trans survive—rather than passing the buck—or you are collaborating.

Not only did you skip the section of the artice about the limits to legal challenges, you are exemplifying exactly what it’s calling out. Trans people are calling for direct aid to surive—jobs, shelter, protection, escape—and instead of helping people point them to NGOs who can’t protect them.

Yes, legally there should be routes including various treaties on refugees. Have you seen instances where trans people from the U.S. or similar countries have been able to make use of them? In your opinion where it might have best chance of success? Thanks!

Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
FYI there is an urgent need to organise transnationally to help at-risk trans people flee unsafe places. Rainbow Railroad won’t help people in places that have recently become more dangerous. No help is coming so it’s up to the community to organise.

People saying don’t come to the UK don’t know how much worse it can be in other countries. The best option is legal immigration routes like work and study if you have access. No precedent for asylum (yet), and the first person who tries it should probs have legal strategy in place. Possible to DM?

Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
This is a great idea. How do you think the travel community could align with trans rights groups? Also, are you messageable? Am organising on this topic and would appreciate inout from folks in different communities. Thanks! (Also pardon the anon account. Some things are better done stealth.)

There are no reporte of confiscations at borders…yet. But there are reports of ICE confiscating and invalidating trans US citizens’ passports in raids.

Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 19/02/2025
No reports of confiscations at borders, but this goes beyond forced confiscations as passport offices during renewals, itself an act of forced internment. ICE is also invalidating trans US citizens’ passports.

You might be able to get a passport for foreigners with revoked passports from your country’s immigration office.
100
Trotsky Cookies @notthomaspynchon.bsky.social · 30/01/2025
Honestly would start looking into a 2nd passport if you have a route to eligibility. This administration doesn’t want to detransition people then let them live well-supported lives. They want to make trans & nb people non-citizen subjects and historically lack of access to valid ID’s is a shortcut.

Yo, are you ok with being messaged? Saw what you said about protected status for trans U.S. people in E.U. and would like to compare notes. Couldn’t dm but would prefer to keep this off public posts. Thanks!
